School of Sip-Puff Sailing
In many ways 2023 has been an excltln8 year for the TrusL
FIrst￿. l am dellghted to report that followin8 the decisions made by the trustees durin8 2022 that
the Mlss Isle Artemis Sailing boat has been refurt)ished and15 now bein8 used extenslvely at Its new
home with Mylor Sallability in Cornwall. The great news Is that the Artemis is avaiiable to use
throughout the season as it fonns part of the MYk)r Sailabllity offerlng.
Second￿, for a number of years the trustees have been pushing for a Chareing Plaos Tollet faclllty
in the heart of Cowes. (knr the last two years the Trust havlng spoken to various Stakeholders
Intluding the local council had rttelved in principle both funding and supporL The Trust spoke to the
Yacht Haven and The Cowes Harbour commi￿on who were very helpftsl In offerin8 Potentlal sites.
However, It was generalty felt that the Ideal posltlon would be next to the existin8 toilets In the
mlddle of Cowes. The Chalmian of Cowes Parlsh Coundl (The Mayor) was approached and the
Trust was made very aware that thls space would not avallable forsuch a faclllty. The Trust then
looked Into the posslbility of a portable Changln8 Places unlt. The fantsstlc news is th•t It has
recently been announced that The Cowes Town Council have come up with a great Idea and have
secured funding for such a faclllty. The new Changln8 Places toilet facilitie5 are 8oln8 to be built next
to the existin8 toilets In the ￿ntre of Cowe
Wlth the Lambert famlly no lon8er beln8 part of the Trust and wlthout any boats to malntaln. the
trustees wish to concentrate 202412025 on offering financial support to other organi5ations who
speciali5e In helping members of the dlsabled communlty out onto the water.
