## UK Film Education Trust 2022-23

## Annual Report

The UK Film Education Trust continued to advance professional training and education within the film and screen industries. This was a challenging year for production with the UK emerging out of the pandemic with many productions being delayed or put on hold. This was despite the record levels of investment in studio infrastructure and expansion.

Most of the Trust activity was focused on working with studios and film production companies to provide work experience opportunities in Buckinghamshire in 2023. Open days were planned with Sky Studios and Universal to enable Sixth Form students studying media studies to gain access to a working film location with presentations from various departments. In addition, there were work experience opportunities created within the location department on site for local students to gain an insight into the industry.

The Trust continued to operate from Pinewood Studios but at a much-reduced level but was able to cover its administrative costs and plan for the following year.
