## **UK FILM EDUCATION TRUST** 

**Trustees Annual Report July 2021-June 2022** 

**The UK Film Education Trust has been generously supported by The Pinewood Studios Group over the year 2022-23 in providing facilities for the Trust to continue to operate from. The Trust is now part of the studio expansion plan with a key role to play in film education. This is part of the strategic plan for Pinewood Studios to become a major training hub and centre of excellence in the creative industry sector. With substantial investment into the UK film industry both in terms of facilities and production content  over the next ten years there is going to be an increase in demand for skilled technicians to help meet that demand.** 

**The UK Film Education Trust will continue to work with industry partners to not only financially support individuals in that training through bursaries but also create work experience opportunities for young adults on productions. The Trust will also seek to provide direct training in support of those wishing to gain access to the industry from a variety of diverse backgrounds.** 

**Looking forward we expect the Trust to expand through partnership working and creating opportunities particularly for young people to develop careers in the film industry.**
