## **Jasmine Road Community Gardens** # **Registered Charity number 1162495** ## **Jasmine Road Community Gardens** ## **– Annual Report August 2019 July 2020** This year has certainly been a very strange one like for most Businesses and Charities concerned being hit with the Covid-19 Pandemic. We started off the Year well back in October when we held our Harvest Festival. We had lots of lovely Cakes and Chutneys made by Plot Holders and Volunteers and lots of interest in the Gardens and people looking to maybe offer to Volunteer with us. In December we held a Stall at Dudley Market where we sold Plants and Wreaths made by our Volunteers. This is always a popular thing to do and our Volunteers look forward to helping out. ## **Jasmine Road Community Gardens** ## **Registered Charity number 1162495** Unfortunately, by March we were like everyone else plunged into Lockdown and this put great pressure on our Work force as many of them are vulnerable or had to shield for health reasons. So this was left to a couple of Volunteers Maggie, Mandy & Jackie who continued to keep the Gardens ticking over as best they could while following the Social distancing rules. They did a Fantastic job and even managed to sell over 600 Summer Plants as everyone was spending time in their Gardens. **----- Start of picture text -----**

work couldn’t stop for Graham either he was a real trooper and attended the Gardens every day to look after the Chickens. The beautiful sunshine during lockdown also brought us lots and lots of Tadpoles in our Pond which was amazing to see. ## **Jasmine Road Community Gardens** ## **Registered Charity number 1162495** Obviously due to the Pandemic there have been no large Events this year but we have been keeping ourselves busy by coming up for new ideas and projects to make next year bigger and better.
