Section D Achievements and erformance p

Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year

The intention eventually to run the locomotive on the Severn Valley and other heritage railways imposes extensive regulatory compliance requirements.

One of the requirements is the appointment of, and approval by an Independent Competent Person (ICP) to oversee the project. In December 2022 we had a much delayed, but valuable and encouraging meeting with our ICP. This frees us to push on with parts of the build where there was a quandary over the engineering design.
