Early in 2021 we were able to celebrate the 250[th] birthday of Richard Trevithick. Heritage Railway magazine had a large feature about him, including a section on our locomotive. We also had a photoshoot which resulted in good coverage in the local press. As a result of this, with the kind support of the editor, Heritage Railway hosted an appeal for funds to finish the locomotive. This appeal raised £1600 of the £10,000 asked for. We were able to have only one event during the year, at the SVR Autumn Gala in September 2021. An appeal has raised funds that can be used towards finishing the locomotive.
