The effects of Covid are still having an effect on the Foundation in the charities that have been supported previously are no longer operating and the support given to South Devon College for students is not currently being continued as the college’s teaching methods have changed and training days at local outside catering establishments have not been re-started. It has been difficult for the Foundation hold fund rising activities with most of the income coming from quiz nights and from the local council lottery. The Trustees continue to seek to work with community groups and charities to continue to support and encourage a career within the hospitality sector either paid or voluntary and it is the intention of the Foundation to establish/re-establish links with local colleges to offer support for students and with hospitality charities in the Devon area.
