The Charity has been able to work
provldSng a valuable and inclusive
service to children and the young
people in yet another exceodingly
financially difficult year. The staff and
commlttee continue to give support to
famllies by enabling tho service to
continue being flexible in staffing and
sessions
Para 1.20
There has been a continued slow retum
of children to the setting, however
numbers have been and are continuing
to be low. Parents continue to not
extending their child's hours past the
statutory 15hrs funding, with the cost of
living crisis being on the forefront of
parents minds
The charlty has contlnued to support
the local primary school with facilitating
a Breakfast Club which enables wrap
around care and enabling parents to be
ablo to return to their place of work, but
again numbers remain low. An early

Financial Review
Review of the charitys
financial position at th8 8nd
of the period
Para 121
The Charity contlnues to move through
a financially challenging year.

We have made a difficult decision to
have to increase our Playgroup Fees, to
offset the contlnulng low numbers
attending. and the rising costs for tho
Playgroup, yet being aware of rising
osts for families as well. However,
numbers of chlldren as a whole using
the service continued to be low at tho
start of the year with a slight increase
heading towards the end of the year.
We hope that an increase In the fundlng
received from the County Council for
the Children attending the setting will
help In sustaining the setting. and the
potential of an increase to funding
avallable for families of younger
children will help increase numbers. The
setting will neod to continue to look at
fees going forward and look to increase
these inline with funding and other
settings in the surrounding area.
Breakfast club numbers have remained
low. and we continue to work with tho
school to advertise and provlde wrap
around care. There has also been an
increase in the Breakfast Club Fees to
lry and off set the low numbors
attending and increase costs.
The staffl commlttee I trustees have
continued to organise fundraising
activities to support purchasing
additional educatlonal equipment to
support the chtldren.

a continued increase In minimum wage
