**the BNO policy, starting from January 2022,**
**the church saw a sharp increase in the**
**number of attendees for worship services,**
**reaching between 120 and 150 people. With**
**an increase number of individuals holding**
**BNO status from Hong Kong, the church**
**made changes effective from 3th July, 2022,**
**shifting from the original bilingual worship**
**service (Cantonese and Mandarin) to two**
**separate language services. By the end of**
**2022, the attendance for both services had**
**increased to around 170-180 people. The**
**church also reinstated a Mandarin Chinese**
**school and initiated a senior fellowship and**
**Bible study class for Cantonese speaking**
**individuals from Hong Kong. Additionally, we**
**organised online seminars to help them adapt**
**to life in the UK, covering topics such as**
**purchasing a car and applying to schools.**|

## **Respective responsibilities of the trustees and the examiner**
The charity's trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year (under section 43(2) of the Charities Act 1993 (the Act)) and that an independent examination is needed.
It is my responsibility to:
- (a) examine the accounts (under section 43 of the act),
- (b) to follow the procedures laid down in the General Directions given by the Charity Commission (under section 43(7)(b) of the Act), and
- (c) to state whether particular matters have come to my attention.
## **Basis of independent examiner's report**
My examination was carried out in accordance with General Directions given by the Charity Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a 'true and fair' view and the reports is limited top those matters set on in the statement below.
## **Independent examiner's statement**
In the course of my examination, no matter has come to my attention:
- 1 which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in, any material respect, the requirements: (a) to keep accounting records in accordance with section 41 of the Act; and (b) to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and comply with the accounting requirements of the 1993 Act; have not been met; or
- 2 to which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
