charltles preparing their accounts In accordance with Financial Reportlng Standard for smaller
enlllles.
Our purposes and actlvltles
To provlde a Gommunity transport servlce for such of the inhabltsnts of East Yorkshlre who are in
n88d of such a servlce because of age. sicknesg or disability {mental or physical), or poverty, or
because of lack of availabllity of adequate and safe publlc passenger services.
East Yorkshlre CommUn￿Y Transport Ltd IEYCD has been formed by its ￿ memb8r groups
(North Holdemess Communty Transport (HART) and Goole and District Communty Transport
(GOFAR) to enable the organisations lo work rnore effectively together for mutual benefit and
the development of accessible and sustaSnable community transport for the residents of the East
Rlding of Yorkshire. EYCT will present a strong and coherent voice for communlty transport to
range of audien¢e$. InclLtdlng policy makers and funding bodies at lo¢al and national level. The
ethos of the company Is fundamèntally mission-based. It alms to be entsrprising and to deliver
extenslve social value from its activities. Its core mlsslon Is profoundly social.. it seeks to provide
accessible, responsive and affordable eommunty transport forthose Inhabitants 0fEastYorkstr￿re
who require such a servi￿, as well as for a range of speclfic dlent groups who need safa, caring
and abovè 811 hrgh qualty tran8POrt to service8 and fa¢llltles.
Revlew of actlvltles and achlevements
Durfng thls financial year the charfty concenlrated on dellverlng a further >year continuation
project for transport to health fac111￿@S. Through grant funded Home to HospSts1 {H2H) Project for
Bridllngton and Goole areas. wlth match fundlng secured from East Rldlng of Yorkshlre Counc51.
The charlty contlnued fts work to combat lonelyiess anl improve wellbeing through the Tackling
Lonellne8s Project. The development worker cOn￿ntrated on hvo main WO￿ streams, engaging
th rural communities and ralsing awareness with health commissioners of the role Community
Transport plays in accessing health appolntmenls for rural residents. Follovlng this engagement,
The Humber and North Yorkshire Integrated Care Boad (ICB) hosted a webinar for community
transport, whl¢h was well attended and provided an opportunlty for transport groups operating in
the ICB geography to meet. In July 2024 the ICB commlssloned a ple¢e of work to map the
provlsion of community transport and enable a better understanding of where the Community
transport groups are. thelr slze and Infomiallon aboul the types of transport they provlde.
The flnal report Is Intended lo be shared acr0&8 th8 Heatth and Care system, wlth health and
Local Authority leaders as well as the communrty transport organlsatlons. It is intended the report

Flnanclal revlew
The organi5ation has spent the yearto 31.03.25 on engaging with the local community in identffied
gap area$ in Community Transport Current provislon. The work undertaken this year has been a
restrlthd funds project, and contracted health joumeys. The free re88ryes total £15,035
Investment power8 and poll¢y
nvestment actlvitles are managed In line wlth the requlremenls of the Trustee Act 2000. The
trustees revi8w the Invoslment optlons at the end of ea¢h fin8nclal year.
Raserves pollcy and golng concern
Reserves are requlred to bTEdge the gap bèlween the spendlng and reCe￿Ing of Income and to
cover unplanned emergency exp8nditure. At this time the trustees conslder the level of reserves
to be sufficient to sustaln Ihe charlty In the short term.
The tnjstees have considered the reserves policy and golng eoncems basis of the charty and
consider that adequate resources continue to be available to fvnd the activities. The trustees are
of a view that the Char￿ is a golng Concern.
Plans for future perlod5
EYCT have a robust buslness plan to cany out over the fvNyears. Thls can potentially dellver
range of sh3nlfi¢ant benefits to partnof organlsations:.
The abilty to undertake joint bids for funding and contracts, especÉally where fundlng
bodies or commissioners do not want to deal wilh several bids from Sndlvldual operators
The ablllty lo procure or develop shared adminlstratlve functions.

Associatlon whlch establlshed the objects and powers of the charitable company and is governed

requlred to contribute an amount not exceedlng £1.
The dlrectors who are also the charlty trustees, are responslble for the overall management and
control ofthe East Yorkshlre Communty Transport Ltd Charity and meet 3 tlmes a year. The work
of implementlng most of their Poli￿8$ Is carried out by the senlor managers of the member groups.
