**Objects:** TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN HORSE DRAWN CARRIAGES, THEIR HISTORY AND CARRIAGE DRIVING IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY:A) COMPILING, MAINTAINING AND PUBLISHING AN ONLINE DATABASE CONTAINING A DETAILED LIST OF HISTORIC HORSE DRAWN CARRIAGES THAT ARE IN ACCESSIBLE PUBLIC AND PRIVATE COLLECTIONS THROUGHOUT THE UK;B) ORGANISING STUDY DAYS AND OFFERING COLLECTIONS AND CONSERVATION ADVICE; ANDC) PUBLISHING ARTICLES AND BOOKLETS ON HORSE DRAWN CARRIAGES.

**Activities:** The Carriage Foundation aims to promote, care for, preserve and interpret horse drawn carriages as an integral part of the history of transport. We are currently managing the 'Carriages of Britain' project, an online database of publicly accessible carriages and have long term plans to explore the possibility of founding a National Carriage Museum.
