Coach House AGM April 2024 Not held due to illness of two committee members

My report starts again with no news as to when we will begin our work on converting the Coach House to become a village amenity. When we started the Committee 12 years ago we had no idea that it would be so difficult to complete.

No meetings have been held due to the ongoing fallout from the Covid 19 pandemic. Even at this late stage two of our Committee members are still isolating due to health issues and the safety of all connected with our Committee is of prime concern and so at this time no further work can be done. We are hoping that at some point they will follow current government guidance and agree to attend meetings. We have tried, without success, to swell the numbers of the Committee as this would have enabled us to continue to progress our plans. We are continuing to advertise in the village noticeboard and also by word of mouth to try to find new members. Committee member David Galloway is continuing to check the outside walls of the coach house to ensure we have no ivy etc. growing up the walls again. The Chairman continued to try to find a builder that does underpinning with no success. She asked our local builder who lives here in the village and as yet has not heard back from him.

I think that is all we can add at this time. We as a Committee remain committed to continuing and reaching our goal. We must try harder to encourage younger residents of the village to join us on the committee.
