Sheppey Promenade’s Charitable Purposes are as follows-
The achievement of education and promotion of the arts for the public benefit but not exclusively by the provision and Management of a Heritage Centre that will facilitate learning in History, Geography, Culture , Arts and the Environment within the area of the Isle of Sheppey ( area of benefit) and organising an Arts Festival.
In 2023/24 we carried out our charitable purposes by organising the following;
Local Prison-Prisoners Art Exhibition
Seaside exhibition of items and treasures found on the beach
Vintage Camera Exhibition
Kitchens of Yesterday Exhibit
Kings Coronation Exhibition
Remembrance Day Exhibit
Christmas children’s Letter to Santa event
Santa’s Elves Christmas Grotto
The Book Club have met regularly
We have participated in the Wheels of Time and our Volunteers attended a launch event at Ramsgate Tunnels
We have succeeded in chasing Swale Council and their Contractors have repaired our roof and windows and painted the whole exterior and we have repainted our outside signage.
We have recruited five new Volunteers and replaced the Trustees that stood down
Our Christmas event was particularly popular with parents and their children
