Report of the Trustees for the year ending 31st December 2021
Rushjudo presents its annual report and accounts for the year ended 31[st] December 2021 and confirm they comply with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011, the trust deed, and the Charities SORP (FRS 102)
OUR AIMS
To provide opportunities for everyone within the community to take part in judo. From beginners to advanced competitive players. Incorporating children, adults, and those with learning disabilities / special educational needs.
To ensure that everyone can access judo regardless of their financial means or circumstances.
OUR OBJECTIVES

Maintain “charity” status for Rushjudo.

Maintain and decorate the “Dojo” to a high standard.

Introduce a National Squad player pathway guide for parents.

Increase the coaching staff by investing in our more experienced players and ensuring there is succession management.

Maintain the regional Centre of excellence for performance and special needs players.
REVIEW OF ACTIVITIES AND ACHIEVEMENTS
Jan – March 2021
Judo was closed due to COVID.
– April July 2021
Phase one of return to judo. Kids classes with restricted numbers. Hygiene measures had to be taken, signs had to be put in the dojo covid protection measures were put in place.
August 2021
A return to judo for adults. A 15 min break was established in between the classes to reduce the numbers within the dojo and keep potential transmission to a minimum.
October - December 2021
A return to competitive judo. The club attended the English closed, C2 international and British Championships. There were some excellent results most notably Lewis Fryer winning his 4[th] national title, Alex Jenkins winning his first and Michael Fryer getting a bronze. Michael continues to be part of the GB full time programme and the club are supporting Lewis Fryer, Evie Halvey Jacob, Alex Jenkins and Sam Collins as part of the GB/England programmes.
Steve Temple and Carl Walker completed their level 1 BJA coaching courses, as a result of the clubs “investment in the future” plan.
Coach Guy Platten has now established a technical invitation only class on weds for performance players. This is proving to be a huge success.
FUTURE PLANS

Invest in the members and educate suitable players to assist the coaching programme.

Continue to fund England squad players.

Send a team of Special needs players from both junior and adult classes to the GB championships.

Organise / run our own Special needs Events.

Support our elite players on the England talent programme to compete for their country

Increase the number of masterclass guest coaching evenings.

Increase the number of Black belts produced by the club.
OUR FINANCE
Total Income of £18,102.30
Income is made up of Mat fees, income to cover competitions, gradings, judo suit sales, merchandise etc. The main cost against mat fees is the dojo rent, coaching costs, courses, etc. Competitions and gradings contra with the costs out for these things.
The net profit for the year was £20.27 Fixed Assets - NBV £0.00 Bank Balance - £16281.16 Cash in hand - £50.00
Accounts have been Examined by Nicola Davies – she has 25 years of accounts experience and has studied AAT. Nicola has completed and signed the independent examiners report on the accounts.
