Para 1.19|Our Money Advice Service runs 1 day per week
across 2 Churches. We continue to link with St
Andrews Money Angels; referring clients with
complex problems as appropriate.
The Service sits alongside our existing Food
Poverty work and offers a ‘wrap around’ support
service to clients.
We continue to support the Parishes of Walton
Breck and St Georges Everton in securing
funding for their ‘Scouse’ (Hot meals for the
disadvantaged), Foodbank and two Food
Pantries.
The successful partnership with ‘The Henry
Smith Charity’ in the distribution of small parish
grants, for the relief of immediate hardship| |||and/or poverty.
The trust ensures equitable distribution of the
Henry Smith grants across 3 parishes: The
Parish of Walton Breck, St George’s (Everton)
and the parish of St Peter’s and St John
Chrysostom.

the vision of our debt advice service due to staff
shortages and redundancies at our main debt
advice partner. We continue to work with our
main partner but have secured additional
support from a local welfare and benefits team
in order to maintain a good level of client
support.
The Debt / Money Advice work is firmly
attached to the food poverty support in each of
the centres; reaching many of those most in
need. The many ‘success’ stories have been
due to our skilled debt advisor / benefits worker.
2026 looks as though it may be another
challenging year for many and we anticipate the

I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act. ## **Independent Examiner’s statement** I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect: 1. accounting records were not kept in respect of the Trust as required by section 130 of the Act. or 2. the accounts do not accord with those records.
