and with the object of improving the condition of
life of the said inhabitants; and

Para 1.19|Local and national restrictions due to the Covid
pandemic continued to take its toll on the work
of the trust in 2021, meaning that our face-to-
face Money Advice service for was only
available during the latter half of the year.
Having said that, at times of lockdown /
restrictions clients were supported through a
dedicated telephone help line.
As anticipated in our 2020 report, our Money
Advice Service now runs 3 days per week
across 3 Churches. Sitting alongside existing
Foodbanks / Food Pantries we offer an
integrated support service to clients.
We continue to support the Parishes of Walton
Breck and St Georges Everton in securing
funding for their‘Scouse’(Hot meals for the| |||disadvantaged), Foodbank and two Food
Pantries.
Last year we successfully partnered with
‘The Henry Smith Charity’ in the distribution of
small parish grants, for the relief of immediate
hardship and/or poverty. The trust ensures
equitable distribution of funds across 3
parishes: The Parish of Walton Breck, St
George’s (Everton) and the parish of St Peter’s
and St John Chrysostom. Further funds have

Advice work from the original 6 hour role based
at Christchurch to a 12 hour role based at 3
centres has been achieved and has, for some
time, been our settled pattern. This is thanks to
the generous funding support that we have
received.
The Debt / Money Advice work is firmly
attached to the food poverty support in each of
the centres; reaching many of those most in
need.The many ‘success’ stories have been
due to the recruitment of the right person with
the right interpersonal skills to build positive
relationships.
We anticipate the workload of the Money
Advisor increasing with 2022 looking as though
