|Summary of the main<br>activities in relation to those<br>purposes for the public<br>benefit, in particular, the<br>activities, projects or<br>services identified in the<br>accounts.|Para 1.17<br>Para 1.19|Local and national restrictions due to the Covid<br>pandemic continued to take its toll on the work<br>of the trust in 2021, meaning that our face-to-<br>face Money Advice service for was only<br>available during the latter half of the year.<br>Having said that, at times of lockdown /<br>restrictions clients were supported through a<br>dedicated telephone help line.<br>As anticipated in our 2020 report, our Money<br>Advice Service now runs 3 days per week<br>across 3 Churches. Sitting alongside existing<br>Foodbanks / Food Pantries we offer an<br>integrated support service to clients.<br>We continue to support the Parishes of Walton<br>Breck and St Georges Everton in securing<br>funding for their‘Scouse’(Hot meals for the|





|||disadvantaged), Foodbank and two Food<br>Pantries.<br>Last year we successfully partnered with<br>‘The Henry Smith Charity’ in the distribution of<br>small parish grants, for the relief of immediate<br>hardship and/or poverty. The trust ensures<br>equitable distribution of funds across 3<br>parishes: The Parish of Walton Breck, St<br>George’s (Everton) and the parish of St Peter’s<br>and St John Chrysostom. Further funds have<br>been applied for in 2022.|

## **Achievements and Performance**

This is thanks to<br>the generous funding support that we have<br>received.<br>The Debt / Money Advice work is firmly<br>attached to the food poverty support in each of<br>the centres; reaching many of those most in<br>need.The many ‘success’ stories have been<br>due to the recruitment of the right person with<br>the right interpersonal skills to build positive<br>relationships.<br>We anticipate the workload of the Money<br>Advisor increasing with 2022 looking as though<br>it may be a challenging year for many.|
