doubled form the previous year, however, these are
still at low levels compared to pre-covid and the
Foundation is still within a period of recovery following the
Pandemic.
In a purposeful strategy to maintain the reserves policy and
increase income for the future growth and impact
of the charity, the Trustees decided not to grant income
in this
period
and
instead
focus
upon
building
funds and reserves
to
enable
greater
long
term
support to the communities we serve.
The
Trustees
have
large
goals
ahead
to
allocated funding towards the achievement of infrastructure
projects
due
to
take
place
in
2024
with a partner charity, Think Pacific Foundation (FIJI), a
registered charitable trust in the Fiji Islands.
This
project
will improve
access
to
health
and
medical
facilities for
rural communities
in
Fiji.
The
trustees
believe that
by growing
funds
towards
this
project,
thiswill
create the
greatest
impact
for donors funds.

andcapacity
of
our
charity
and
the
impact that shall be made ahead in Fiji . The

**Improving local infrastructure**
These aims are guided under our
Memorandum of Understanding with
the Ministry of Health and Medical
Services in Fiji and the Ministry of
iTaukei Affairs.
Think Pacific building projects aim to
provide vital infrastructure and
development for rural communities in
the Fiji islands.
We received feedback from local site
visits that previous buildings are being
used by the local population, utilzed
for health promotion initiatives and
reducing travel time to hospitals. We
additionally received feedback from
the Ministry of Health they they have
continued to supply medical resources
to these facilities.| . ## **Youth & Personal Development** Youth Empowerment Projects aim to stimulate discussions on important topics at a grassroots level and ignite action towards positive activities. The initiative comes with the overriding purpose of encouraging attributes and awareness amongst young people in rural areas, the leaders of tomorrow, where future change is made real in the next generation. Across the year these projects were reviewed and overall impact assesed. These initiatives funded by the charity have achieved the following: - 1) 167 Sessions Delivered in Rural Communities in total - 2) 97% of participants said their confidence grew through the initiatives - 3) 19% Average Increase In SelfAssessed Communication Skills - 4) 32% Average Increase in mental health awareness - 5) 177 local people trained in first aid - 6) 94 youth trained in mental first aid. - 7) 29% average increase in youth playing structured sports ## **Education & Youth Programme** We have received positive feedback from communities and the Ministry of Education that our previous initiatives continue to provide long term benefit within communities, including sports and extra-curricular clubs that were created continuing to operate locally, early years education centres that we created also operating sustainably and numerous accounts of children we have supported now moving into further education, university or professional careers. ## **Additional information (optional)** You may choose to include further statements where relevant about: |Achievements against
