|Summary of the<br>main activities<br>in relation to<br>those purposes<br>for the public<br>benefit, in<br>particular, the<br>activities,<br>projects or<br>services<br>identified in the<br>accounts.|Para 1.17<br>and 1.19|It was heartening to see that donations more than<br>doubled form the previous year, however, these are<br>still at low levels compared to pre-covid and the<br>Foundation is still within a period of recovery following the<br>Pandemic.<br>In a purposeful strategy to maintain the reserves policy and<br>increase income for the future growth and impact<br>of the charity,  the Trustees decided not to grant income<br>in this<br>period<br>and<br>instead<br>focus<br>upon<br>building<br>funds and reserves<br>to<br>enable<br>greater<br>long<br>term<br>support to the communities we serve.<br>The<br>Trustees<br>have<br>large<br>goals<br>ahead<br>to<br>allocated funding towards the achievement of infrastructure<br>projects<br>due<br>to<br>take<br>place<br>in<br>2024<br>with a partner charity, Think Pacific Foundation (FIJI), a<br>registered charitable trust in the Fiji Islands.<br>This<br>project<br>will improve<br>access<br>to<br>health<br>and<br>medical<br>facilities for<br>rural communities<br>in<br>Fiji.<br>The<br>trustees<br>believe that<br>by growing<br>funds<br>towards<br>this<br>project,<br>thiswill<br>create the<br>greatest<br>impact<br>for donors funds.<br>Trustees look forward to seeing anincreaseinthe<br>donations<br>andcapacity<br>of<br>our<br>charity<br>and<br>the<br>impact that shall be made ahead in Fiji . The<br>Trustees are very confidentin thefutureof Think Pacific<br>Foundation.|

These included:<br>**Improving local infrastructure**<br>These aims are guided under our<br>Memorandum of Understanding with<br>the Ministry of Health and Medical<br>Services in Fiji and the Ministry of<br>iTaukei Affairs.<br>Think Pacific building projects aim to<br>provide vital infrastructure and<br>development for rural communities in<br>the Fiji islands.<br>We received feedback from local site<br>visits that previous buildings are being<br>used by the local population, utilzed<br>for health promotion initiatives and<br>reducing travel time to hospitals. We<br>additionally received feedback from<br>the Ministry of Health they they have<br>continued to supply medical resources<br>to these facilities.|

## **Youth & Personal Development** 

Youth Empowerment Projects aim to stimulate discussions on important topics at a grassroots level and ignite action towards positive activities. The initiative comes with the overriding purpose of encouraging attributes and awareness amongst young people in rural areas, the leaders of tomorrow, where future change is made real in the next generation.   Across the year these projects were reviewed and overall impact assesed. 

These initiatives funded by the charity have achieved the following: 

- 1) 167 Sessions Delivered in Rural Communities in total 

- 2) 97%  of participants said their confidence grew through the initiatives 

- 3) 19% Average Increase In SelfAssessed Communication Skills 

- 4) 32% Average Increase in mental health awareness 

- 5) 177 local people trained in first aid 

- 6) 94 youth trained in mental first aid. 

- 7) 29% average increase in youth playing structured sports 

## **Education & Youth Programme** 

We have received positive feedback from communities and the Ministry of Education that our previous initiatives continue to provide long term benefit within communities, including sports and extra-curricular clubs that were created continuing to operate locally, early years education centres that we created also operating sustainably and numerous accounts of children we have supported now moving into further education, university or professional careers.
