Our purpose is the prevention<br>or relief of poverty in the Fiji Islands by providing or<br>assisting in the provision of educational support and<br>development, extra-curricular advancement, sports<br>development, training opportunities, improved<br>infrastructure, improved access to health care and all<br>necessary support to enableindividuals to lead healthy lives.|

However, by<br>December, and with a very strong vaccination campaign,<br>restrictions began to ease and Think Pacific could again<br>focus upon our in-country impact.<br>During<br>the<br>year,<br>Think<br>Pacific<br>Foundation<br>donated<br>funds to support local community health campaigns and also<br>an educational project alongside Fijian NGO 'Child Benefit' to<br>support children's 'Catch up after Covd' learning.<br>The charity also provided donations to support physical<br>infrastructure and towards the building of a health<br>dispensary, which was completed fully by June 2022.<br>Think<br>Pacific<br>Foundation<br>provided all<br>grants<br>to<br>Think<br>Pacific<br>Foundation<br>(Fiji)<br>which<br>is<br>a<br>separate local<br>registered<br>charitable<br>trust<br>in<br>the Fiji<br>Islands (FJ<br>989)<br>in<br>order<br>to<br>achieve the<br>projects aims.<br>Images on the next page show the opening ceremony of the<br>village 'health dispensary' in Nativi, Ra Provicne which was<br>created using funding by Think Pacific Foundation during<br>the year.|

|Policy on grant making|Para 1.38|The Trustees meet quarterly to discuss,<br>review and approve projects and grant<br>applications. Funds are only be approved<br>for projects, which are considered to<br>directly benefit Fijian communities or<br>schools and which fall into the charities<br>core objects.<br>Projects, which predominantly support rural<br>communities in Fiji, where the evidence of<br>need is greatest, are prioritised.<br>All grants were provided to Think Pacific<br>Foundation (Fiji) a charitable trust<br>registered in the Fiji Islands.  This<br>organisation has long standing<br>connections to Think Pacific Foundation<br>and enables monies to be entirely<br>monitored and used most purposefully to|

|Summary of the main<br>achievements of the charity,<br>identifying the difference the<br>charity’s work has made to<br>the circumstances of its<br>beneficiaries and any wider<br>benefits to society as a<br>whole.|Para 1.20|Through the grants provided by Think<br>Pacific Foundation during the year, the<br>charity was able to facilitate several<br>core objects to improve the lives of<br>people living in hardship.  These<br>included:<br>**Improving local infrastructure**<br>Donations were used topurchase<br>building materials to complete a health<br>dispensary in Nativi village, Ra<br>Province. The achievement of these<br>projects enables the village nurse to<br>have a facility to provide consultations<br>and also act as a secure dispensary for<br>medicines.  The project is supported by<br>the Fijian Ministry of Health, who Think<br>Pacific Foundation (Fiji) sought advise<br>and endorsement before completing to<br>ensure the facilities meet national<br>standards and directives for health.|

|aid training. The aim was to advance|

|highest<br>rates<br>of<br>non-|
|communicable<br>disease<br>and|
|awareness campaigns<br>are<br>vital<br>to|
|reduce<br>this national issue, which|
|particularly impacts poorer communities.|

Trustees<br>acknowledge that much of this<br>fundraising effort, whilst not providing<br>great benefit in this period, will be fruitful<br>to income and donations in the future as<br>early signs already show.|
