and children in need in Fiji. Our purpose is the prevention
or relief of poverty in the Fiji Islands by providing or
assisting in the provision of educational support and
development, extra-curricular advancement, sports
development, training opportunities, improved
infrastructure, improved access to health care and all
necessary support to enableindividuals to lead healthy lives.| |Summary of the

and 1.19|This period largely saw Fiji still under national lockdowns
due to the global COVID pandemic. However, by
December, and with a very strong vaccination campaign,
restrictions began to ease and Think Pacific could again
focus upon our in-country impact.
During
the
year,
Think
Pacific
Foundation
donated
funds to support local community health campaigns and also
an educational project alongside Fijian NGO 'Child Benefit' to
support children's 'Catch up after Covd' learning.
The charity also provided donations to support physical
infrastructure and towards the building of a health
dispensary, which was completed fully by June 2022.
Think
Pacific
Foundation
provided all
grants
to
Think
Pacific
Foundation
(Fiji)
which
is
a
separate local
registered
charitable
trust
in
the Fiji
Islands (FJ
989)
in
order
to
achieve the
projects aims.

created using funding by Think Pacific Foundation during

review and approve projects and grant
applications. Funds are only be approved
for projects, which are considered to
directly benefit Fijian communities or
schools and which fall into the charities
core objects.
Projects, which predominantly support rural
communities in Fiji, where the evidence of
need is greatest, are prioritised.
All grants were provided to Think Pacific
Foundation (Fiji) a charitable trust
registered in the Fiji Islands. This
organisation has long standing
connections to Think Pacific Foundation
and enables monies to be entirely
monitored and used most purposefully to| |||the greatest needs identified by the
Trustees on the ground in Fiji.
Having trustees on the ground in Fiji was a
key benefit to understanding and applying
donations to the best possible use and

Pacific Foundation during the year, the
charity was able to facilitate several
core objects to improve the lives of
people living in hardship. These
included:
**Improving local infrastructure**
Donations were used topurchase
building materials to complete a health
dispensary in Nativi village, Ra
Province. The achievement of these
projects enables the village nurse to
have a facility to provide consultations
and also act as a secure dispensary for
medicines. The project is supported by
the Fijian Ministry of Health, who Think
Pacific Foundation (Fiji) sought advise
and endorsement before completing to
ensure the facilities meet national

this is understandable.
The charity implemented innovative new
sources of fundraising, including using
social media campaigns. Trustees
acknowledge that much of this
fundraising effort, whilst not providing
great benefit in this period, will be fruitful
to income and donations in the future as
