The trustees present their report and the financial slalements of the charitable trust for the period ended
51h April 2025. The financial stslemenls comply with the Charities Act 2011 and the Slalemenl ol
Recommended Practice ISORPI "Accounting and Reporting by Charities. IFRS 102} in preparing the
annual report and financial slalemenls of the charity.
The financial slalemenls have been prepared in accordance with the accounting policies set out in
notes lo the accounts and comply with the chaiily's governing document, the Charities Act 2011 and
Aecounling and Reporting by Charities.. Statement of Recommgnded Practice applicable lo charities
preparing their accounts in accordance with the FinanGial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK
and Republic of Ireland {FRS 1021 (effective 1 January 20191,

Tiu$tees of the charily:
The trustees who have served during the year are shown on the charity information page on page l.
Objectives and activltles:
The objects of the charity, to provide public benefit, are lo provide grants to organisations predominately
within the County of Bedfordshire, which provide help wtth the following..
The advancement of health and saving of lives., and

Promotes and supports Arts, Culture & Heritage.
However, the Trustee5 may on occasion wnsider making donations lo national and international
bodies that provide similar services.
Financlal revièw
The Iruslees are satisfied with the results for the year with total funds al the period-end amounting lo
£1,462,71812024 £1,583,040).
The results for the period are shown in the statement of financial activities on page 5 01 the financial
slatemenls.
ReseNes pollcy
11 is the Charity's aim to hold a minimLJm ol slx month's overhead costs in unreslricled reserves at all
limes.
Structuro, Governance and Management
The charity is governed by its trust deed dated I2￿ June 2015.
The Iruslees hold regular meetings and decisions are made upon majority consent.
Rlsks
The trustees believe that the charity is not exposed lo any material risks.
Grant making pollcy
The charity has no sel policy in relation to making grant payments. In the period donations and grants
made amounted to £139,62512024 £93,855),
Investment policy
The investment policy is to only hold low risk investments, lo safeguard the charlty's lunds.
No trustees received any Temunelalion for their services during the period.
Trustee appointment and induction
The charity is fortunate lo have a number ol long-standing Iruslees who would be able lo pass on their
kno￿edge and experience of the organisation.

The trustees are responsible for preparing the Trustees, Annual Report and the financial statements in
accordance with applicable law and United Kingdom Accounting Standards (United Kingdom Generally
Accepted A¢uunling Pracli¢el.
The law applicab￿ to charities in England & Wales requires the twstees to prepare financial statements
for each financial year which give a Iruo and fair view of the slate of affairs of the charity and of the
incoming resour¢es and application of resources of the charity for that period. In preparing these
financial slatemenls, the trustees are requirecl lo.
select suitable accounting policies and then apply them consislenlly..
observe the methods and principles in the Charities SORP 2019 (FRS 102}',
make judgements and estimates that are reasonable and prudent.,
slate whelher applicable accounting standards have been followed. subject to any material
departures disclosed and explained in the financial statements.,
prepare the financial ststements on the going concern basis unless tt is inappropriate lo
presume that the charity will continue in operation.
The trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records that disclose with reasonable
accuracy al any lime the financial position of the charity and enable them lo ensure that the financial
slalemenls comply with the Charities Act 2011, Statement of Recommended Practice for accovnling
2nd reporting by charities (applicable lo charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the
Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republ￿ of Ireland IFRS 1021}and the provisions
of the trust deed. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the charity and hen¢e for
taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities.

As the charity's Irusle8s you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the
rgquilements ol the Charities Act 20111'lhe Act'i.
I report in respect of my examination of the charills accounts carried out under section 145 of the Act
and in carying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charlty
Commission under section 145{5llbl of the Act.
Independent examlnerfs statement
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come lo my allenlion in
connection with the examination giving Me cause to believe that in any material respect,,
accounting records were not kept in respect of the charity as required by section 130 of the Actr
or
2. the accounts do not accord with those records,. or
3. the accounts have not been prepared in accordance with the methods and principles of the
Statement of Recommended Practice for accounting and reporting by charities (applicable lo
charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard
applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland IFRS 10211.

statements.
2. Accountlng policies

The charity Conslitules 8 public benefit entity as detined by FRS 102. The financial statements have
been prepared in accordan￿ with the Charities SORP IFRS 102) 'Accounling and Reporting by
Charities.. Statement of Recommended Practice applicable lo Charities preparing their accotjnls in
accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland IFRS
1021 (effective l January 20191,, Finencial Reporting Standard 102 'The Financial Reporting Standard
applicable in the UK and Republic of IreLand', the Charities Act 2011 and UK Generally Aocepled
Accounting Practice.
The chaiity has applied Update Bulletin 1 as published on 2 February 2016 and does not include a cash
flow statement on the grounds that il is applying FRS 102.
The significant accounting policies applied in the preparalion of these financial statements are set out
below. These policies have been consislenlly applied to all years presented unless otherwis& slated.
Incoming resources
Income is re¢ogni$ed in the period in which the charity is entitled to receipt and the amount Can be
rneasu￿d with rèasonable certainty.
Income is only deferred when the th8rity has lo fulfil ¢ondiltons before becoming enlilled lo IL
Expendlture and Ilabllltles
Liabilitie5 are recognised on the accruals basis.
Expenses which are directly attribvted to specrfic activities are included within those cost categories.
Governance costs include those associated wlh meeting the constitutional and statutory requirements
of the charity. including accountancy fees and ctssts linked lo the strategic management of the charity.
Snvestments
Listed investments, for which fair value can be measured reliably without undue cost or effort, a
measured al fair value at each feporting date with changes in fair value recogni8ed in the slalemenl of
financial activities.
The current fair value is based on a recognised slock~brokers valuation report at the balance sheol dale.
