To<br>promote humane behaviour towards Akitas<br>by providing appropriate care, protection,<br>treatment and security for animals which<br>need care and attention by reason of<br>sickness, maltreatment, poor circumstances<br>or ill usage and to educate the public in<br>matters pertaining to Akita welfare in general<br>and the prevention of cruelty and suffering<br>among animals|

|Other||The Trust continues to embrace social<br>media and has built a substantial following<br>benefitting the Trust and Akitas in need.<br>Through this exposure the Trust has<br>adopted out more Akitas in need and have<br>educated and supported owners, adopters<br>and potential owners of the breed.|

This is subject to<br>overbreeding and the cost of living crisis.<br>Our veterinary expenditure has again been<br>high as we support some of our adopted<br>dogs as well as dogs on lifetime foster.<br>The Trust continues to offer to cover the cost<br>of spaying and neutering of all adopted<br>Akitas.  Originally introduced in 2018, this<br>continues to be successful.<br>The Trust has continuously increased the<br>membership rate on social media.<br>Online auctions and fundraisers continue to<br>be successful in increasing awareness and<br>support for the Trust as well as finances.|
