The trustees have adopted the provisions of Accounting and Reporting by Charities: Statements of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standards applicable to the UK and the Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) (effective 1 January 2019)

Objectives and activities

Objectives and aims

The Trustees have considered the Charity Commissioner's guidance on public benefit, including the guidance 'Public Benefit running a Charity (PB2)

  1. To promote the amateur sport of cricket for all.

  2. To advance education (including social and physical training) in such ways as the Charity Trustees see fit, including providing cricket coaching

  3. To promote community participation in healthy recreation, in particular but not exclusively by the provision of facilities for the learning, teaching and playing cricket and:

  4. To promote the provision of facilities for recreation or other leisure time occupation of indivi who have need to such facilities by reason of their youth, age, infirmity or disablement, financial hardships or social and economic circumstances of the public at large in the interest of social welfare, and the object of improving the condition of life of the said inhabitants.

In addition to the above, the Trustees are delighted to report the development with Women's and girls' cricket. Brockhampton Cricket Club being the only club in the county to provide an all-women's and girls hard ball cricket team .

This is in addition to a strong, healthy junior development section for all genders.

1 ACCOUNTING POLICIES

Basis of accounting

The financial statements are prepared under the historic cost convention, with the exception that investments are included at market value and the revaluation of certain fixed assets and in accordance with the Charities SORP (FRS 102) 'Accounting and Reporting by Charities' Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Statrd applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) ( effective 1st January 2019), Financial Reporting Standard 102 the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the Uk and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) and the Charities Act 20

Brockhampton Cricket Club CIO meets the definition of a public benefit entity under FRS 102. Assets and liabilities are initially recognised at historical cost or transaction value unless otherwise s in the relevant accounting policy note(s).
