The trustees present Iheir 8nnu81 report and financial statements for the ygar ended 29 F8bruary 2024.
The ffina￿al stslem9nts have been prepared in ac¢ordan¢e the accounting pol￿e5 set out in nole 1 to Ihe
financial statements and comply with the charitys goveming docum•nl, the Companies Act 2006 and
'Accounling and Reporting by Ch8riiies'. Statement of Recommended Practice ap￿1¢able to charities preparing
their accounts in accord8n¢e with thè Financial Reporting Standard applicable in Ihe UK and Republi¢ of Irèland
IFRS 102} {effective 1 January 20191..
Objo¢tiv¥$ •nd aedvldès
The objects of the Charity were Ihe opèration of Family SLVPOrt services induding Advo¢8cy with Schools,
Soual Services, and Police. Therapeutic servic95 and Emotional SLtpport for families in ¢risi$. Our social
workers deal with mèntal health issues, marrtal breakdowns, loss of jobs and the stress that Ihè loss of
irn¢ome ￿ingS etc. as w811 as running informal, educational anil deveb)pmental programme5 for thldren
and their families.
Through Ihe generosty of our supporters, we hav8 grown cojr Famity Support Team to i)dude 1 more
Soual Wother with responsibility for the man8gèmÈnt of tha Conlacl Centre. We havg also employed an
8ddillonal ful time staff member wlh parlicular ￿sPonSIbl1111eS for Contact supeMSh)n and the
adminislraion of the Contact Cenlre. In addition, we haw a team of Sessional Therapists including art
Iher8Pi8ts and Adult and child therapists. At year end, we were 8boul lo employ a Famity Support Wother to
enhance our Farnily Support team.
The Trustees have paid due regard to guid8ncè issued by the Charity Commi55ion Fn deciding what
aclivilies the charity should undertake.
The fund$ that were raised in the previous year for displa￿ lamilies from the war in Ukraine ¢ontinu8d to trickle
through, although to a far lesser degree. A further £259,493.31 wa$ raised. This aspect of our fiJndraisin9 is now
lemiiMatÈd. These fund$ are $hown as restricted lund8 in our 8(fA)unts as tha Céntro had no bentrfil from them
whatsoever.
The trustéés hav8 paid due regard lo guidance issued by the Charty Commission in deeiding what actMlie5 the
Charity should undartake.
Achi9￿M•￿ts •ntl p•rfomiance
During tha yaar, ovar £60,000 wa5 given oul in grants to families as well as subsidie$ for therapy. We also
workéd supporting our families to obtain grants ftom 01her grant gNing bodies.
The Centre ￿ntinueS 10 give us Ihe opportunity to prowde more services for Ihg wnmunty in an inwling
environment. 11 is hoped Ih8t the Coming year will see further developrnenl in our Famity Support services,
while maintaining our develownental progranNnes which aid wellbeing for both the parents and children.
Our Registration with NACCC (National Asso¢iation of Children's Conl8¢1 Cenlrèsl has brought a lot of
additional fooffall lo Ihe Centre. and 8$ our reputation as a Contact Centre gTOWS we know that this service
will wnlinue lo grow. Vve are able lo supply SupèNisors who are Ituenl in Hebrew, Yiddish and French..
which makes our stsnding unique in this fièld for Jwish community.

The ststement of Finawal Activilies Shows a net dèfiat of £34,043 (2023 . £37,820 surplus) for the year and this
has been deducted from the In¢ome Aceounl, which al Ihe balance sheet dale st¢)od al £107.227. The trustees
expeci an increase in donations in Ihe coming yeai.
The trustées have established a policy whereby the funds not comrnitted OT invested in tsngSble ftyed assets I'lhe
frge r￿n￿$. ) held by the charity should bè in the region of 3 months of the total resou￿￿¥ expended which
equates to some £90,Ot)O. At this level the tru$lÈÈs feèl that théy would be able to continue the 8ctThiities of the
Charity in the event of a temporary stqnrficanl drop in fundSng. At present the free reserves has rea¢h8d this target
level.
The trusteès have a$s&s$ed the major risks to which the charmy is èxposéd. and aro satisfied that systems are in
place lo mttigate exposu￿ to the major risks.
