Th¢ Charity is a Charitable IncoTporated Orgartisation (foundation model) and is governed by the constitution
adopted on 23 MaTch 2015.
Every tnjstee must be appointed for a term of three years by a resolulion P1%5Ed at a properly convened meeting
of the chaTity tN5tees. ln selecting Èndividuals for app02ntrneni a5 charity Dljstees, the charity th￿tee5 must bave
regard to the skills, knowledge and exp¢rien¢e needed for the effective athninistration of the CIO.
OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES

(a) To enhance the developTn¢n¢ ¢du¢ation of children und¢r 5tatuiory sehool age (except in exceptional
circumston¢es), who are severely hondicapped, disabled or in ¢ondilion$ of need, hardship or dis11¢s4 by
encouraging parents to undersiand and to provide for the needs of their children, and by...
(i) Offering appropriate facilities.
(li) En¢oura8in8 the study of the needs ofsuch children ind iheir famille5 and to prornot¢ publ5¢
inter¢$t in and reco8nition of such needs in the Selby District.
(b) To promote the relief of parents or other persons having ¢harge of such childreo by th¢ provision of
faciliiies for th¢ Care of such children.
ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE

addition to working to further improve the support of local families. the needs of the children continue to present
greater chall¢ng¢s and at younger ag¢5,
The Nursery f&cilities continue to be maintained to a good Standard mu¢h of which is funded by 5uppon from
loeal busines5 and fiJndit)g 8ronts.
The SMAII of employed staff is ably 511PPOrted by a few experienced Yolunteers in the Nur5¢ry, as well as
sbjdenl nurse Placemen￿ from locol universifies, and ihere is a second 8roup of volunteer5 who oper&l¢ our
charily 5hopto raise asi8nifi¢Ant proportion of our fvnd$. The work of all the volunteers is 8r¢atly appreciated.

Overall, Ihe Nursery is in a Yay good financial p051tion- with premises18rgely owned. just over£107k in the
bank. AS a Small number of our children are under Iwo years old, and their car¢ is noi fund¢d by the State, whi¢h
¢oniinues to place a drnin on ih¢ charity's fijnds.

leaviiig the industry and creaiing gr¢at¢r competition for experien¢¢d roles li has been getting harder io flnd the
right staff members at a c05t that is still affordable.
