THATCHAM YOUTH FINANCIAL ACCOUNTS FOR THE YEAR 1ST APRIL 2023 TO 31 MARCH 2024 ST endent Examiners Statement I have pleasure in reporting on the Thatcham Youth accounts and confirm that the financial statements for the year ended 31st March 2024 are in accordan with the income, expenditure, assets and investments information supplied to me by the Treasurer and that no matters have come to my attention that requires further investigation and report to the Management CommitteelAnnual General Meeting or that gives me reasonable cause to believe that the requirements for adequate control and monitoring have not been met. It is noted that HSBC bank charges for the 202312024 financial year amounted to £94.99, a slight increase on last years amount, which in my opinion is totally unjustified. Whilst I fully understand the difficulties associated with moving bank accounts I do urge the Management Committee to consider moving the Thatcham Youth Account to an alternative bank. Any decision to transfer should however be fully investigated before a final decision is made. This is my tenth examination of the accounts as the appointed Independent i, Examiner for Thatcham Youth and I would like to pla on record my sincere thanks to the Treasurer, Dave Carter, for all his hard work in preparing the accounts and for providing me with the information and records required to undertake the examination which provides a very clear and concise audit trial l am satisfied that the Treasurer, supported by the Management Committee, has put in place safe, efficient arrangements and maintain robust controls on payments as an integrated part of the overall financial control system. Date.. 15th April 2024 David R Weller DMA, ONCIHNC Independent Examiner
