**Objects:** 3. ObjectsThe objects of the CIO are:1. To promote, for the public benefit the urban regeneration of Heathfield Park, an area of social and economic deprivation, by all or any of the following means:a. The preservation of buildings or sites of historic or architectural importanceb. The provision of recreational facilities for the public at large or those who by reason of their youth, age, ethnic origin, infirmity or disablement, poverty or social and economic circumstances, have need of such facilitiesc. The protection or conservation of the environment2. To promote social inclusion for the public benefit by working with people in Heathfield Park who are socially excluded on the grounds of their youth, age, ethnic origin, infirmity or disablement, poverty or social and economic circumstance, to relieve the needs of such people and assist them to integrate into society, in particular by:a. providing a local network group that encourages and seeks to develop the capacity, skills and aspirations of the members of the socially and economically disadvantaged community of the area*, (in particular supporting families, young people and children) in such a way that they are better able take advantage of opportunities provided to relieve poverty, preserve their health and well-being, improve their local environment and participate more fully in society, resulting in an overall improvement in their quality of life’b. increasing, or co-ordinating, opportunities for them to engage with service providers, to enable those providers to adapt services to better meet the needs of that community.Nothing in this constitution shall authorise an application of the propertyof the CIO for the purposes which are not charitable in accordance with[section 7 of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005]and [section 2 of the Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008]* ‘The area’ for the purposes of this constitution is defined as ‘Heathfield Park, as defined in the Heathfield Park Neighbourhood Plan and Park Village’.

**Activities:** Heathfield Park Community Action Network works within the Heathfield Park Neighbourhood Plan Area and has two areas of activity:- 1. As the designated Neighbourhood Plan Forum, promoting, for the public benefit the urban regeneration of Heathfield Park.2. As a network hub, working with other groups and providers in Heathfield Park, promoting social inclusion for all within the area.
