||||||||children.<br>Our Giving for Latvia activities expanded<br>to include this group of||
||||||||people|in Latvia, that is particularly<br>financially<br>and emotionally<br>vulnerable.|
||||||||To enable the above, the trustees<br>have retained focus on 3key groups of||
||||||||activities throughout<br>the year:||
|||||||||raising funds and coordinating<br>grants,|
|||||||||collecting donations<br>in kind, arranging<br>transportation<br>to Latvia and|
|||||||||distribution,|
|||||||||coordinatin<br>other skilled volunteer<br>su<br>rt.|

||||||||Montgomery<br>(third and fourth book in the series of5)and How to|
||||||||talk so kids will listen and how to listen so kids will talk by Adele<br>Faber (first in the series) were distributed<br>for free in 2021/22/23 to|
||||||||75charities that work with parents<br>and children. These charities|
||||||||have committed<br>to lend the books to their members<br>and|
||||||||subsequently<br>arrange discussions<br>to engage parents<br>on the topic<br>ofmodern<br>parenting<br>approaches.<br>Work on the next books in the|
||||||||series continues.|
||||||||We continue to support<br>pre/post-natal<br>depression<br>charity|
||||||||Debesmanna. corn that organizes<br>Children's<br>Mental<br>Health Week|
||||||||in Latvia though series offree ofcharge webinars<br>for parents<br>with|
||||||||the leading specialists<br>in Latvia. During early 2023 they hosted<br>their 3"annual<br>event and for the first time cooperated<br>with|
||||||||schools in Latvia engaging<br>pupils.|
||||||||We supported<br>projects that assist Ukrainian<br>refugees,<br>both by|
||||||||arranging<br>fundraising<br>but also donations<br>in kind (winter coats and|
||||||||sieeping bags).|
||||||||We launched a multi-year<br>project of bringing<br>letterboard|
||||||||alternative<br>communication<br>method to Latvia, that gives back voice|
||||||||to non-speaking<br>autistic individuals<br>that have apraxia. The first|
||||||||practitioner,<br>director ofa special needs school, began studies<br>with|
||||||||I-ASC International<br>Association<br>for Spelling as Communication|
||||||||and completed<br>internship<br>in the UK. We also arranged<br>for|
||||||||letterboard<br>stencils with Latvian alphabet,<br>that can be handed<br>to|
||||||||families ofnon-speaking<br>students,<br>for additional<br>communication|
||||||||practice within families. The first word spelled<br>independently<br>by a|
||||||||non-speaking<br>student<br>in Latvia was "biologija" during a plants|
