The final accounts for 2024 have been audited by Charles Goldthorpe and all
transactions have been agreed and signed off. We ended the financtal year with
very healthy combined bank balanctt of £43,376.28 compared to £29,180.02 at the
end of 2023. We had £2,301.93 in our current account and £41,074.36 in our
reserve account This was achieved with small grants and donations but without any
significant grants, mainly by the hard work of the committee in organising a range of
very successful fundraising events.
The report gives a breakdown of the figU￿S that have been audited. It shows how
money was raised (receipts) arKI how it was spent (payment activities). ￿lIe it
might appear in Ihe report that some fvnd-rai8ing activities only made a small profit,
additional monies accumulated at these events are induded, for auditing. under
different headings, for example in raffles, heads arKI tails, w￿MberS donab'ons.

In addition to the ￿rpOrate donations, ￿ are often in r￿lpt of smaller donats'ons
from our loyal following of 'FRIENDS' who continue to make generous donations and
purchase tickets for our fundraising activities but wish to remain anonymous. As
previously mentioned, rt has been a very sad year, but our much-bved members
who are no longer with us have left a *acy between them of neady £4.000. Our

included the three lots of insurance. The report shows an on-line esb'mate of the

Fundraising Report:
2024 was a busy year for fundraising events.
Jigsaw Club ty to organise a vanety of events which will attract a broad range of
supporters.
The year stsrted with our very popular fundraising lunth tr￿k1 at the Masonic Rooms
in Ampthill which over 80 people attended.
One of our key supporters opened tr*ir garden for a DD80 themed coffee moming
which was very well attended. A speaal thanks for all our cake makers!
Unfortunately, Ampthill Annual Gala did not take place during the summer. otherwise
we would have been able to raise addits'onal funds for the dub. However. we had a
stall at tt)e annual Lights Switch On in Ampthill which was our best ever success for
the Jigsaw Club. Instead of"Name the Teddf we had a hamper which we raffled
eX￿dIng all expectations of money raisedl
During October held another Tribute Night at Pathside Hall in Ampthill starring
°ABBA'. AI ts'ckets were sold without adverb'sing. Tr Tribute Night is now one of our
regular events and it is planned that we hoFd another Tribute NKJht in October 2025.
A Quiz Night was held at Houghton Village Hall where Jigsaw Club shared the
organising and proceeds with Houghton Conquest Carers.

T%vo 'Market Teas. were hekl at Flrtwid( Mllage Hall on a Ftiday moming wren the
market is open. Not only does this activty rakse funds for the dub but rt also gives us
an opportunity to raise awareness about J￿SaW Club within the local ￿mmunty.
A special thanks and appreciation must be gr¥en to everyone who has supported
Jigsaw Club fvndraising events. as it would not be possible to provKle and facilitate
the ongoing running and continuity of activit￿S that the Jigsaw Club is able to
successfully provKle for our members.
Jigsaw Club will always welcome suggests'ors for new Kleas that can be adapted arKI
developed for fundraising purposes.
