To relieve the suffering of cats in Menorca by trapping, neutering and where possible returning to where they were caught. To provide veterinary care for the sick and injured. **Summary of the objects** Provide and maintain feeding stations throughout the island. **of the charity set out in** Working with the locals to control, in a humane way, the cat **its governing document** population to prevent unwanted kittens being born and therefore unnecessary suffering. The continuing effects of Covid made for a difficult and challenging year. Severe restrictions on social gatherings and mixing were in place for most of the year and travel restrictions on holidaymakers and non residents meant that there were almost no visitors to our open days, Consequently there were very few local donations of money and food, Whilst our expenditure on food increased. Of the few visitors who did manage to get out and come and see us most were regulars who make their donations through the usual channels in the UK. It was gratifying that the small numbers of visitors we did have came mainly with children who hopefully will become commited suporters. During the pandemic we took on the feeding of extra colonies as **Summary of the main** local residents were not allowed to go out to feed them. In many **activities undertaken for** cases these people have now given up feeding and we have an **the public benefit in** ever increasing extra burden on the supply of food. We also **relation to these objects** have many more people asking for food to supplement the costs **(include within this** they bear with feeding. **section the statutory declaration that trustees** We had a significant increase in the number of cats injured in **have had regard to the** road accidents and the subsequent call out to them both from **guidance issued by the** the local police as well as residents who found us through social **Charity Commission on** media. **public benefit)** We believe that this was due to there being almost no traffic for many months. The cats were simply not used to traffic especially young ones. We will continue to neuter as many cats as possible as we believe that this is the best way forward. Our own well established colonies are under control, we just have to keep up with the new ones that are constantly turning up, especially in the country areas where many local people have a second little cottage with land or small holding and for so many months during the pandemic they were not allowed to visit them.

Section D Achievements and performance

**Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year**

The German charity Tierhilfe have again supported us with a total donation of 20,000 euros. This has been an enormous help.

We have managed to give support to more people who feed the street cats and a good relationship with local police has developed.

The Town Halls are again taking some responsibility for the neutering of the street cats by giving the local vets an allowance which relieves the burden on the Charity.
