Our 10[th] year has shown a reduction in journeys of 8%. We undertook 3578 journeys, carrying 4587 passengers. This has not impacted on us too financially as we reluctantly raised the admin fee to £5 in January 2024. However, it is becoming apparent, from holidays etc., that we need more volunteer drivers and admin staff. To that end, in November 2024 we joined with Age UK (Barnstaple) and North Devon CTAs to submit a bid to the National Lottery for a 5-year funding package to enable the recruitment of more volunteer drivers and admin staff. We have now progressed to stage three. 

Hospital and medical cancellations are increasing. This puts extra work on the office staff who, after spending time finding a driver, then have to cancel the booking. The knock-on effect of this is the possibility that another drive might have been refused because of lack of drivers. 

Lin Maloney, the Treasurer and Trustee, resigned for personal reasons, Deirdre Conniss who was Secretary took over the Treasurer duties and Janice Goodney took over the Secretarial duties and became a Trustee. 

We would like to thank all our volunteer admin and drivers for all the hard work they have done over the last 10 years. Hopefully, our success will continue into 2026 and beyond.
