2023/24 was our ninth year as a Volunteer Car Scheme and we are slowly recovering but not back to pre pandemic levels. The accounts still show we are spending more than we receive, the shortfall is still being covered by our reserves. 

Total journeys for 2023/2024 were 3871, carrying 4977 passengers. This is approximately 12% more than 2022/23. The number of journeys continues to increase and in January 2024 we increased the admin fee to £5 per journey. 

Whilst we had a new Trustee join in 2023/24, Eddie Heath, we unfortunately said goodbye to Trustees Arleen Carey and Dave Pimble, both of whom resigned. Also our part-time salaried Administrator resigned. Our current Administrator Sam, was recruited in March 2024 and has settled well into the post. 

We would like to thank all our volunteer drivers and admin staff for their help during the past 12 months.
