**and ensuring that the charity applies for the funds that have been specifically available for this work. During this year I have been vice chair of the board of trustees supporting the chair in her work. I have also continued to be the trustee with specific responsibility for safeguarding. We follow our own safeguarding policy based on local authority and national guidelines and this policy is reviewed every 2 years to ensure that it covers new issues that may arise. The trustees over see and ensure that all workers including volunteers have safeguarding training as soon as possible after they start working with us and that established workers are supported to have this training updated every 3 years. The youth club workers manage day to day safeguarding issues and I am informed when there is a serious situation that involves referral to outside agencies. One Such issue arose during the last year and was satisfactorily resolved. Caroline Mylroie Treasurer During this time I have seen how we have positively adapted to the continued uncertainty due to the pandemic by delivering innovative solutions to support our children, young people and their families and future proofing our financial position through targetted grant applications, employing visionary and motivated staff and increasing our social media presence. Linet Arthur Trustee During the year I continued to work with other trustees, meeting regularly in order to review the youth club’s activities during the various lockdowns and to ensure its future. The staff worked tirelessly to maintain contact with the young people and families in Rose Hill children from Rose Hill and to deliver activities to their homes when the Community Centre was closed. I visited the RHJYC allotment where**

**enthusiastic staff and volunteers were helping children grow vegetables and make various items. Since my visit a building has been erected ensuring a good base for the future. Hannah Davies Trustee Since joining the Board of trustees in 2020I have had ongoing visibility of the amazing work of the RHJYC staff who have continued to put the needs of young people first. Staff have found ways to adapt and engage young people at every stage of the pandemic. I remain committed to working with ,and building on the great work of RHJYC staff in creating positive and inclusive spaces for young people and the community.**
