Forest Green Cemetery October 2020

Minutes of Annual meeting

  1. Cathy, Nigel and Chris carried out the ‘push’ test. One headstone was laid flat, two end kerbs removed and two sunken graves were infilled.

  2. The area known as ‘old section’ remains fenced off to stop public access and signed accordingly. The Heath vault is still marked as dangerous and the small opening into the vault remains closed.

  3. The area levelled last year where the ground was too uneven is now mowed and new paths created.

  4. Wild grass seed has been sown and the yellow rattle flourished.

  5. Of the 100 Hawthorne whips planted most have survived

  6. After a visitation by the council tree officer last year we have kept the growth at the base of the lime trees short and trimmed.

  7. The plan showing the cutting cycle will again be followed next year and areas defined will be left for wildlife.

  8. All trustees said they were happy to serve for another year. 9. It was agreed to spend £4K in the next financial year to a building contractor to build a tool store and a garage for the lawn tractor.
