## **Notes to the Accounts**

1. The accounts have been prepared on an accruals basis for the year 2021-22. This is a change to accounting policy as previous years accounts were prepared on a receipts and payments basis.

2. As the charity is a CIO with a turnover of less than £25,000 there is no reqirement for an Independent Examination of the accounts. The Trustees, however, have arranged for an examination and report to provide assurance to members and be consistent with previous years.

3. There are 2 items in the accounts which did not go through the bank account before 31/7/2022

   - Payment owed to the Musical Director for an uplift in fees relating to 2021-22 season £50.00

   - Income due to the Charity based on the Gift Aid submission for donations in 2021-22 which will not be received until 2022-23. £583.55

The independent examination has reviewed the calculation of the Gift aid claim but cannot verify the actual cash receipt.

The Trustees are confident the inclusion of the Gift Aid income is consistent with presenting a "true and fair view" of the accounts of the charity .

Any difference between the Gift Aid income in the accounts and the amount received from HMRC will be accounted for and disclosed in the 2022-23 accounts.

4. There were no related party transactions in 2020-21 or 2021-22.
