**Objects:** THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE (A) TO PROMOTE, IMPROVE, DEVELOP AND MAINTAIN PUBLIC EDUCATION AND APPRECIATION OF CHORAL MUSIC AND RELATED ACTIVITIES IN ALL ITS ASPECTS BY THE PRESENTATION OF PUBLIC CONCERTS, RECITALS BROADCASTS RECORDINGS OR AT THE INVITATION OF PROMOTERS, ORGANISATIONS AND OTHER ARTISTIC BODIES; AND (B) TO EDUCATE AND ENHANCE THE SKILLS OF THE MEMBERS OF ANY CHOIR RUN BY THE CIO THROUGH A RANGE OF PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITIES IN THE UK AND ABROAD.

**Activities:** The Southend Boy's and Southend Girl's choir enable music to be performed for the public benefit. Young people are given training and access to choral music to enable them to enjoy singing for the public across the country and the worldand to gain skills. Young people sing together under the direction of a musical director, and learn to appreciate the skills of choral music.
