Mosque| ||||||Initiative
(IMI) has continued
to address the injustices that our community| ||||||faces. We had to pause some ofour work and rethink the logistics of| ||||||delivering
our activities through
the Covid 19pandemic.
We did this by| ||||||providing
safe and inclusive
places for community
gathering,
spiritual| ||||||practice and activism. We tested and delivered
our events online. We| ||||||have continued
our work with the LGBT+sector to raise consciousness| ||||||of how racism manifests so that LGBT+ Muslims
may access more and| ||||||better resources.
During this period, we focused on supporting
efforts to| ||||||increase funding
in the LGBT+sector by working
in collaboration
with| ||||||fund designers.
This work benefits LGBT+organisations
for people of| ||||||colour, especially
Muslims, as funding
streams can now be designed
with| ||||||better knowledge
ofrace and the impact of racism

organisation

Report and its impact. This work benefits people ofcolour and working-
class people
in particular,
who will feel the negative
impact ofThe Sewell

to conduct Islamic marriage
ceremonies
for couples
who are usually
turned
away from mosques

usually

built better links between
IMI and other Muslim| ||||||organisations
that share our aim oftackling issues ofsocial, economic,| ||||||and political injustice,
promoting
the welfare ofall people. This work is| ||||||strategic and necessary for our work to impact the wider Muslim| ||||||community,
