## **Objectives and activities** 

We enable adults and young children with a physical, neurological or visual deficit to ski.

To achieve this we raise funds to: 

Run adaptive ski sessions at our base in Pembrey, West Wales Purchase specialist adaptive ski equipment Run adaptive alpine experiences at various locations across Europe

- All trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the charity commission on public benefit 

- We run adaptive sessions for individuals with physical, neurological and visual deficits every Wednesday at Pembrey ski slope West Wales 

- We have recently introduced adaptive ski holiday for younger members 

- After fundraising events and generous donations the charity purchases items of equipment including sit skis, helmets to support the members

- Training of instructor volunteers to be able to coach and assist in the coaching of adaptive skiing

Several of our volunteers have taken time out to support our weekly training sessions at Pembrey,West Wales. 

Other volunteers take time to attend extensive training and development sessions in the UK and overseas .

## Achievements and performance 

- SSW membership continues to be covered for our volunteer instructors 

- Donations have allowed the continual upskilling of a number of volunteers and this year we were also fortunate to attend a subsidised ski training trip in Verbier, Switzerland. 2 of our senior lead volunteer instructors created a formal training pathway which included Piste training, reflection and evening sessions. 

- In addition, donations this year helped us to purchase further adaptive ski equipment including a new Sit ski, along with a range of helmets and boots
