The charity is particularly aware of the risks associated with running sports teams consisting of individuals of different ages and genders, some of whom have a Disability, meaning they fall within the classification of at-risk under any Safeguarding and Welfare policy. The charity has developed a robust Policy and has made a conscious effort to ensure adequate safeguarding training and awareness of coaches and athletes. Trustees are also made aware of these policies.

Section C Objectives and activities
The objects of the CIO are:

the promotion for the public benefit of:

equality and diversity by the elimination of discrimination on the grounds of disability in the sport of cheerleading (and in such other sports and activities as the trustees may think fit from time to time); and
Summary of the objects of the charity set out in its governing document
- the education (including by way of advocacy, counselling, social and physical training, and such other ways as the trustees think fit) of the public in the sport of cheerleading for those with physical disabilities (and in such other sports and activities as the trustees may think fit from time to time); and
the relief of those persons with a physical disability by encouraging and promoting the sport of cheerleading for those with physical disabilities with the object of improving conditions of life and to assist their integration into society.

Continued to Run the National Development Programme in Partnership with Sport Cheer England which was then ended in April 2025. 136 individuals participated across all the workshops, a combination od coaches and athletes.

Worked supporting the TEAA Advanced National team to organise and choreograph for Worlds 25 where they won Gold in their division.

Started development of the Paralympic Cheerleading Project,
orunning a test day with 12 participants attending from England and Scotland.

The session was a big success showing that 100% disabled inclusion is possible and wanted

Discussion had with ICU, Karl Olsen, to bring a showcase team in 2026. ICU in agreement

Planning started for project launch in early season 25-26

• Working with Momentum Cheer UK, we created a comprehensive bid to take back management of the AA teams so they are once again under a unified organisation.
o Awaiting the response form Sport Cheer England.
All of the above activities have been carried out with the awareness of the Trustees as to the requirements of the charity to meet its purpose for public benefit and they have had due regard to this, as is their duty to do so.
Additional details of objectives and activities (Optional information)
We brought on a freelance Administrator to support the NDP work, arranging bookings and sorting out the email backlog etc. Working just 5 hours a week initially.
We are in discussion with a possible new trustee, Paul Connor, to take over from Levi as Levis has stood down after stepping away from cheerleading.

With our support TEAAA won gold at ICU world championships 2025

136 individuals attended our NDP camp sessions throughout the season

Started a new project, Paralympic Cheerleading Project, to build a showcase team to push the sport towards Paralympic recognition

• Rick, our founder, recognised by the Shaw Trust Disability 100 2024 for his work in sport

Shared our findings from the Paralympic Cheerleading test day to the NGB’s at the ICU world championships.

ParaCheer International CIO has a reserves policy, keeping 3 months operating costs in reserve. The trustees recognise the benefits to be gained from having a reserves policy and that it contributes to transparency and good practice.

The Charity does not currently have any funds in deficit.

The charity has been running on the donation from The Fore for this last few years and on income generated from the NDP camps. We will need to start fundraising again in earnest this year to meet the intended goals for the Paralympic Cheerleading Project and to grow our activities again back to pre-pandemic levels.
