**Objects:** THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE(A) TO PROMOTE THE BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS OF THE CITY OF CARLISLE AND IN PARTICULAR THAT AREA KNOWN AS CURROCK DISTRICT WITHOUT DISTINCTION OF SEX, SEXUAL ORIENTATION, RACE, POLITICAL, RELIGIOUS OR OTHER OPINIONS, BY ASSOCIATING THE LOCAL AUTHORITY, VOLUNTARY ORGANISATIONS AND INHABITANTS IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE FOR RECREATION AND LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE FOR THE SAID INHABITANTS.(B) TO ESTABLISH OR SECURE THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A COMMUNITY CENTRE AND TO MAINTAIN AND MANAGE, IN CO-OPERATION WITH THE LOCAL AUTHORITY, SUCH A CENTRE FOR THE ENCOURAGEMENT AND PROMOTION OF ACTIVITIES BY THE COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION AND ITS CONSTITUENT BODIES IN FURTHERANCE OF THE ABOVE OBJECTIVES.

**Activities:** Together with 3rd party sector, provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation/leisure time occupation with the object of improving life conditions for Carlisle inhabitants, particularly Currock. Secure/manage/maintain the community centre for the encouragement/promotion of activities by the Association and its constituent bodies in furtherance of above objectives.
