One silver lining was the emergence||
|||ofseveral new regular user groups: Alcoholics Anonymous,||
|||Ukulele,
Art and Reading,
all using the Bill Carter room.

number of Dance sessions||
|||because there had to be fewer participants
at each, and also an||
|||extra Pilates group. Trustees are very grateful for the financial||

provided
by the Government

Dorset Council to||

this time.||
|||In spite ofthe Covid-19 issue, Trustees were able to move forward||
|||on the second ofthe four "Completing
the Job" Development||
|||targets identified
in October 2019. Grants from the National
Lottery||
|||Community
Fund and from Garfield Weston Foundation
enabled|us|
|||to purchase
an audio-visual
system for the main hall.
This includes||
|||digital projection, a sound system and a hearing
loop. Work on the||
|||remaining
two targets - forming a chair store and enlarging
the||
|||kitchen and boarding
out the first floor ofthe extension —will||
|||continue
into 2021 and probably
beyond.||
|||Villagers have been entertained
by Artsreach
music from||
|||Bowjangles and by Artsreach
drama
with Scratchworks
Theatre's||
|||"Womans" show.
Both ofthese were before the first Lockdown.||
|||We are pleased too to have put on a socially distanced
show with||
|||over 50people
in the audience as Artsreach
returned
in October||
|||with Living Spit's "Henry Vill".||
|||Bookings by individuals
and groups this year included a meeting|of|
|||the Dorset Butterfly Conservation
Trust, a 'soup and a pud' event||
|||run by Wareham's
Inner Wheel Club and the Corfe Castle||
|||Community
Land Trust public exhibition.||
|||Routine maintenance
included
repairing
the kitchen cooker and the||
|||solar panel inverter,
and also replacing
some faulty double glazed||
|||windows
in the main hall.||
