The relief in need of former members of all branches
of the Armed Forces and their families returning to
Sheffield with a view to enabling effective
resettlement into civilian Society. in particular but
not exclusively by: 11 providing 8 point of contact for
all Ex-service personnel, and their families; and 2)
acting as Advocate and Intermediary between Ex-
Service Personnel and local support providers.
In planning our undertakings for this year, we keep
in mind the Charity Commission's guidelines on
public benefits at ourTrustees' meetings.
The main activities are as follows:
To support the Charity's objectives in help
Veterans welfare when leaving the Armed
Forced, referrausignage for Housing and
other Matters including Health & Welfare,
homevisits, socialising in a safe, peerto peer
environment. Helping Disabled Veterans
with Gardening.

We are fortunate to have a dedicated
Veteran's Room at a Sports & Social Club.
This has been subject to 8 major
refurbishment and deep clean over a few
months. re-organising donated Military
Memorabilia from all three services. We are
grateful for everyone's input and support to
make this a comfortable welcoming place to
meet and socialise.

Contribution made by Volunteers
We are gr8teful forthe many hours volunteers
including member volunteers have spent listening
and encouraging our members. Withoutthis
valuable contribution of time, energy and expertise
we would have not been able to 8chieve so much.
We are in particular grateful forthe support of
Volunteers with the refurbishment project of our
regul8r meeting venue.
We are also fortunate to have 8 Volunteer Secretary
{from 15.1.24) with Business Management and
Administration experience who stepped in
tempor8rily to aid the Charity during a time of
change.
Achlevements and performance
Summary ofthe main achievements of the
charlty during the year
We have added a second monthly social event on
Fridayto our portfolio of events, meeting now on the
2- Friday and 3° Monday of each month, to take
consideration Veterans who are still working, who
enjoy a free buffet, chat and banter.
We held a successful HMS SheffieldlFalkland event
in May. and in November we had our Annu81
Remembrance event with a buffet and professional
entertainer.
In December, we held our first Christmas Dinner
event since Covid. which was attended by
approximately 40Veterans & Partners.
Financlal Revlew
Brief statement of the charity's policy on
reserve
Cash at bank 31.3.2024 was £8214.34 which puts the
charity in a reasonable stable condition forthe year
ahead. Atthe point in writingwe are not aware of any
restrictions of funds due to the former ChairlTreasurer's
long illness and subsequent passingaway in June 2024

Future Plans

The coming year WILI see a review of the Charity's working practices and procedures, including
implementing a coding system to log income and expenditure. We are also working increasingly
with other organisation forthe benefit of Veterans of allthree services. as well as increasing our
visibility in the Sheff ield City Region.
