ВІЗЫТЫ ДАСЬЛЕДНІКАЎ/ VISITS OF RESEARCHERS

Улетку бібліятэка ізноў адчынілася для дасьледнікаў пасьля рамонту. У жніўні тут працавала др-ка гістарычных навук Тацьцяна Астроўская зь Інстытуту гістарычных дасьледаваньняў Цэнтральнай і Ўсходняй Эўропы імя Гердэра (Марбург)./ In the summer, the library reopened for researchers after renovations. In August, Dr. Tacciana Astroŭskaja from the Herder Institute of Historical Research of Central and Eastern Europe (Marburg) worked here.

Franciszka Skaryny w Londynie” на СЭМІНАРЫ ў інстытуце этналёгіі Варшаўскага ўнівэрсытэту./ In September, we hosted researchers from Poland: historian Piotr Cichoracki (professor, University of Wroclaw) and ethnologist Dr. Katarzyna Washczyńska (University of Warsaw) worked with archives of the Belarusian diaspora and post-war periodicals. On 14 November, Katarzyna Washczyńska presented the results of her research "Bonjour spadar Rydleuski. Białorusini we Francji w świelte reszowę białoruskiej biblioteki im. Franciszka Skaryny w Londynie” at a SEMINAR at the Institute of Ethnology of Warsaw University.

Таксама ў верасьні бібліятэку наведаў прафэсар Кэмбрыджскага ўнівэрсытэту гісторык Джэймз Рэйвэн – адзін з асноўных прамоўцаў на віленскай канфэрэнцыі, прысьвечанай 500-годзьдзю “Малой падарожнай кніжкі” Скарыны. Also in September, the professor of Cambridge University historian James Raven visited the library - one of the main speakers at the Vilnius conference dedicated to the 500th anniversary of Skaryna's "Little Travel Book". Following his visits to the library and Vilnius, James Raven published an article about Skaryna on the website of the British Bibliographical Society, of which he was chairman.

18-19 лютага бібліятэка была партнэрам 7-й гадавой канфэрэнцыі Belarusian Studies in the 21st century . Фотарэпартаж з другога дня канфэрэнцыі, які праходзіў у Marian House і завяршыўся экскурсіяй па бібліятэцы і музэі, можна пабачыць тут. Відэазапісы ўсіх панэляў канфэрэнцыі даступныя тут./ On 18-19 February, the library was one of the organisers of the 7th annual conference on Belarusian Studies in the 21st century. 9 ліпеня ў бібліятэцы адкрылася выстава “А напіс пакажа - Янка Купала“ у гонар 140-годзьдзя паэта. Наведнікі пабачылі рукапісы і першыя выданьні зборнікаў Купалы з калекцыі Скарынаўскай бібліятэкі, а таксама выставу банэраў, прысьвечаных жыцьцю і творчасьці Купалы, арганізаваную ў супрацы з музэем Янкі Купалы ў Менску. Пасьля прагляду выставы рэжысэр-дакумэнталіста Майкал Сагаціс распавёў пра фільм "Купала" (2019), забаронены для прагляду ў Беларусі (рэпартаж на сайце)/ On 9 July, the library opened the exhibition "And the writing will show - Janka Kupala" in commemoration of the poet's 140th birthday. Visitors saw manuscripts and first editions of Kupala's compilations from the collection of the Skaryna Library, as well as an exhibition of banners dedicated to Kupala's life and work, organised in cooperation with the Janka Kupala Museum in Minsk. 5 жніўня у Скарынаўскай бібліятэцы адкрылася выстава “Няскораныя ”, прысьвечаная нашым суайчыньнікам – ахвярам палітычных рэпрэсіяў. Госьці выставы пабачылі рэдкія кнігі і артэфакты, зьвязаныя з найвыбітнейшымі дзеячамі і простымі беларусамі, зьняволенымі або зьнішчанымі сталінскімі спэцслужбамі, і зь імёнамі сёньняшніх палітвязьняў. Пасьля адкрыцьця выставы адбылася гібрыдная сустрэча з былой палітзьняволенай Натальляй Хершэ, чыя турэмная роба была прадстаўленая на выставе. На адкрыцьці прысутнічаў амбасадар Швэйцарыі, з чыёй дапамогай роба Натальлі была перададзеная ў наш музэй (рэпартаж на сайце)./ On 5 August, the exhibition "The Unbroken" opened in the Skaryna Library, dedicated to Belarusians - victims of political persecution. Visitors could see rare books and artefacts related to the most prominent figures and ordinary Belarusians, imprisoned or destroyed by Stalin's security services, as well as today's political prisoners. After the opening of the exhibition, there was an on-line meeting with ex-political prisoner Natallia Hershe, whose prison robes were displayed at the exhibition. The opening was attended

by the ambassador of Switzerland to the UK, who assisted with donating Natalla's prison robes to our museum (report on the website).

ЛІТАРАТУРНЫЯ ІМПРЭЗЫ/ LITERARY EVENTS

10 лютага паэтка Ганна Комар правяла ў Марыян Гаўзе майстар-кляс па вершаскладаньні “Верш у падарунак” да дня сьв. Валянціна. On 10 February, the poetess Hanna Komar held a St. Valentine day master class on the composition of poems "A poem as a gift" in Marian House.

5 траўня ў бібліятэцы прайшла прэзэнтацыя новай кнігі Ганны Комар "Мы вернемся" – 20 дакументальных гісторый беларусак і беларусаў, якія пакінулі краіну пасьля жніўня 2020./ On 5 May, the library hosted a presentation of Hanna Komar's new book "We will return" - 20 documentary stories of Belarusian women and men who left the country after the events of August 2020.

17 верасьня ў бібліятэцы прайшла чытка п’есы “Целам сваім” Ганны Комар , у якім аўтарка распавядае пра свой досьвед зьняволеньня падчас пратэстаў 2020 году ў Менску (відэазапіс)./ On 17 September, the library hosted a reading of Hanna Komar's play "My Body", in which the author talked about her experience of imprisonment

during the 2020 protests in Minsk (video recording).

Багата людзей сабрала бібліятэка 29 кастрычніка на Ноч паэтаў . Удзельнікі ўшанавалі памяць (не)расстраляных паэтаў - чыталі паэзію ды слухалі і гралі музыку на вершы Алеся Дудара, Міхася Чарота і Мойшэ Кульбака, а пасьля ў беларускай царкве Сьв. Кірылы маліліся за памяць усіх ахвяраў рэпрэсіяў./ Many people gathered on 29 October for the library’s commemoration of the Night of Poets. The participants honoured the memory of the “(un)executed” poets - they read poetry and listened and played music to poems by Ales Dudar, Michas Čarot and Moiše Kulbak, and then in the Belarusian church of St. Cyril prayed for the

memory of all victims of repression.

Увесну пры бібліятэцы сфармавалася сьпеўная група. 19 сакавіка ейныя ўдзельнікі ўпершыню ў Лёндане зладзілі старажытны абрад “ ” Гуканьне вясны . Дзеці і дарослыя сьпявалі вясьнянкі, майстравалі папяровых птушак, вадзілі карагоды (фота і відэа са сьвята)/ In the spring, a choir was formed at the library. On 19 March, for the first time in London, its participants demonstrated the ancient Belarusian folk rite

“The Calling of Spring ". Children and adults sang folk songs, made

paper birds, performed round dances (photos and videos)

7 траўня ў садзе бібліятэкі сьвяткавалі Юр’я – сьпявалі юраўскія песьні, вадзілі крывы танок, частаваліся абрадавымі стравамі, абносілі двор караваем (фота)./ On 7 May, they celebrated Jurja in the garden of the library - they sang Jurja songs, led a crooked dance, feasted on ceremonial dishes, and carried a loaf of bread around the yard

25 чэрвеня ў садзе бібліятэкі Англа-беларускае таварыства супольна з Скарынаўкай ладзілі Купальле. Да багацьця традыцыйных купальскіх сьпеваў, забаваў і карагодаў сёлета дадалося чытаньне паэмы “Курган” Янкі Купалы ў гонар юбілею паэта (чыталі Ганна Комар і Алесь Касяк, пераказвала па-ангельску Тацяна Касьцюковіч). Саша Белавокая зрабіла выставу-продаж вырабаў ткацтва і зёлкавых збораў ад свайго брэнду Loom & Bloom i частку выручкі з продажу перавяла на рахунак бібліятэкі./ On 25 June, in the garden of the library, the Anglo-Belarusian Society together with the Skaryna Library organised a Kupala celebration. This year, the wealth of traditional Kupala songs, entertainments and round dances was joined by a reading of Janka Kupala's poem "Kurhan" in honour of the poet's anniversary (read by Hanna Komar and Ales Kasiak, translated into English by Taciana Kascukovič). Saša Belavokaja ran a stall selling weaving products and herbal collections from her brand Loom & Bloom and donated part of the proceeds to the library.

26 траўня супрацоўнікі бібліятэкі Караліна Мацкевіч і Ігар Іваноў распавядалі пра Скарынаўку на зум-сустрэчы ў літаратурнафілязофскай кавярні “Зно” Беларускага Калегіюму (відэазапіс сустрэчы)./ On 26 May, Karalina Mackevič (trustee) and Ihar Ivanoŭ (volunteer) talked about the Skaryna Library at a zoom meeting in the literary and philosophical cafe "Zno" of the Belarusian Collegium (video of the meeting).

КАТАЛЯГІЗАЦЫЯ (КМ, ПШ)/ CATALOGUING (KM, PS)

Цягам году апекуны і валянтэры бібліятэкі працягвалі каталягізоўваць кніжную калекцыю. У каталёг былі занесеныя амаль 4000 новых назваў і агульная колькасьць бібліяграфічных адзінак у ім цяпер складае 10764. Калекцыя вярнулася ў бібліятэку пасьля рамонту і чакае далейшай апрацоўкі./ During the year, the library's trustees and volunteers continued to catalogue its book collection. Almost 4,000 new titles have been added to the catalogue, and the total number of bibliographic items in it is currently 10,764. The collection returned to the library from a temporary storage after renovation and is awaiting further processing.

АРХІВАВАНЬНЕ ВЭБ-РЭСУРСАЎ (ІІ)/ ARCHIVING WEB RESOURCES (II)

У выніку супрацоўніцтва з Канфэдэрацыяй бібліятэкаў Лігі плюшча плюс ад сакавіка 2022 г. было зархівавана 160 вэб-рэсурсаў (Тэлеграм-каналаў, відэа і вэб-старонак) для вэб-архіву "Беларуская палітыка і грамадзтва" https://skaryna.org/web-archive/. У дадатак, 11 вэб-рэсурсаў было дададзена ў архіў “Літаратары з Эўропы і Эўразіі”. / As a result of cooperation with the Confederation of Libraries of the Ivy League Plus, since March 2022, 160 web resources (Telegram channels, videos and web pages) have been archived for the web archive "Belarusian Politics and Society" https://skaryna.org/web -archive/. In addition, 11 web resources have been added to the "Writers from Europe and Eurasia" archive.

Цягам 2022 г. вэб-сайт бібліятэкі пастаянна папаўняўся новым тэкставым і візуальным зьместам. У супрацы з камандай сацсетак бібліятэкі да сайту былі дададзеныя 18 рэпартажаў і 13 тэматычных артыкулаў, зьвязаных з калекцыяй і працай бібліятэкі, створаная і рэгулярна абнаўляецца афіша падзеяў./ During 2022, the library's website was constantly updated with new textual and visual content. In cooperation with the library's social media team, 18 reports and 13 thematic articles related to the library's collection and work were added to the site, and an events poster was created and regularly updated.

САЦЫЯЛЬНЫЯ СЕТКІ (НР, ІІ, ПШ, КА)/ SOCIAL MEDIA (NR, II, PS, KA)

У 2022 г. бібліятэка значна пашырыла сваю прысутнасьць у віртуальнай прасторы дзякуючы інтэнсыўнай працы каманды сацыяльных сетак, якая ўсьцяж стварала цікавы і інфарматыўны кантэнт. У выніку аўдыторыя бібліятэкі на Фэйсбуку дасягнула 944 чалавекі, на Інстаграме – 524. На новы канал Скарынаўскай бібліятэкі на Тэлеграм, створаны ў жніўні, цяпер падпісана 136 чалавек (лічбы на 16.01.23). Дзякуючы абвесткам у сацсетках усё больш людзей даведваецца пра зборы Скарынаўкі і новыя наведвальнікі і валянтэры

прыходзяць на нашыя імпрэзы і далучаюцца да нашае працы. / In 2022, the library significantly expanded its presence in the virtual space thanks to the hard work of the social media team, which constantly created interesting and informative content. As a result, the library's following on Facebook reached 944 people, on Instagram - 524. 136 people are now subscribed to the new Telegram channel of the Skaryna library, created in August (figures as of 16.01.23). Thanks to publications on social media, more and more people learn about the library’s gatherings, and new visitors and volunteers come to our events and join our work.

Улетку пры бібліятэцы было створанае беларускае выдавецтва “Скарына”. 25 лістапада ў чытальнай залі бібліятэкі адбылася вечарына выдавецтва “Скарына” . У імпрэзе ўзялі ўдзел выдавец Ігар Іваноў, перакладнік “Бэйруцкіх апавяданьняў” Уладзіслаў Гарбацкі, сябры рэдакцыйнай калегіі. Супрацоўніца Нацыянальнай бібліятэкі Украіны Надія Стрышэнэць распавяла пра аўтара “Бэйруцкіх апавяданьняў” Агатангела Крымскага. У перапынках працаваў яркі калядны кірмаш ад Сашы Белавокай і беларускага брэнду Loom & Bloom (рэпартаж на сайце)./ In the summer, the Belarusian publishing house "Skaryna" was established in collaboration with the library. On 25 November, a presentation of the publishing house took place in the reading room of the library. The event was attended by the publisher Ihar Ivanoŭ, the translator of "Beirut Stories" Uladzislaŭ Harbacki, members of the editorial board. An employee of the National Library of Ukraine, Nadija Stryšenec, spoke about the author of "Beirut Stories" Agathangel Krymskyi. У 2022 г. працягваліся сустрэчы чытацкага клюбу – чыталі і абмяркоўвалі восем вельмі адрозных па часе, тэмах і жанрах твораў беларускай і ўкраінскай літаратуры:

ВЫШЫВАЛЬНЫ КЛЮБ (ГШ)/ EMBROIDERY CLUB (HS)

22 кастрычніка Ганна Шышла зладзіла першую майстар-клясу па вышыўцы, якая перарасла ў рэгулярныя сустрэчы. На іх удзельніцы і ўдзельнікі вывучаюць традыцыйную тэхніку вышыўкі і экспэрымэнтуюць з сучаснымі ўзорамі. Цёплая атмасфэра сустрэчаў, сяброўскія гаворкі і марудны, мэдытатыўны працэс вышыўкі, паводле саміх удзельнікаў, мацуе супольнасьць і дае псыхалягічную падтрымку ў складаны час./ On 22 October, Hanna Šyšla organised the first embroidery master class , which grew into regular meetings. At them, participants learn traditional embroidery techniques and experiment with modern designs. The warm atmosphere of meetings, friendly conversations and the slow, meditative process of embroidery, according

to the participants themselves, strengthens the community and provides

psychological support in difficult times.

ІТ-ПАДТРЫМКА (АП, ІІ)/ IT SUPPORT (AP, II)

Вялікая праца была зробленая валянтэрамі Алесем Патрусавым і Канстанцінам, каб наладзіць бесьперабойную працу сайтаў бібліятэкі і царквы./ A lot of work was done by volunteers Ales Patrusaŭ and Kanstancin to ensure a smooth operation of the library and church websites.

РАМОНТ (АШ, СС, ПШ, КМ)/ RENOVATION OF THE LIBRARY BUILDING (AS, SS, PS, КМ)

За год быў завершаны рамонт у чытальнай залі і кнігасховішчы, у былой спальні айца А. Надсана, якая цяпер можа камфортна разьмяшчаць гасьцей, і ў кабінэце. Набываліся кніжныя шафы і працягвалася парадкаваньне архіваў./ Over the course of the year, renovations have been completed in the reading hall and book storage room, in the former bedroom of Father A. Nadson, which can now comfortably accommodate library guests, and in the office. Bookcases have been purchased and archives continued to be organised.
