The Charity is affiliated to England Boxing & Yorkshire Clubs for Young People. ## **Objectives** The object of the CIO is the promotion of community participation in healthy recreation, for the benefit of the inhabitants of Kingston upon Hull and the East Riding and the public generally by the provision of facilities and opportunities for Amateur Boxing. ## **Achievement and Performance** Due to Covid 19 Lockdown the club was unable to operate and all competitions were cancelled, throughout the year we lost most members and volunteers and were unable to resume normal activities due to being a close contact sport and the strict social distancing guidelines. ## **Plans for the Future** Remain closed until the Covid 19 restrictions are lifted and provide a safe environment once re-opened. The future of the Club remains uncertain due to the loss of Members and Volunteers and rebuilding a team of volunteers and members would determine the future of the Club. ## **Financial Review** The financial reserves of the Club are adequate for the financial responsibilities & running costs for part of the year ahead whilst remaining in closed due to Covid 19 and Lockdowns. ## **Risk Management** All major insurable risks are subject to normal sporting facilities and public liability insurance. Contractual risks are reviewed before being entered into. An annual review of areas of risk is undertaken by the trustees in conjunction with volunteers. ## **Statement of Trustees Responsibilities** Charity Law requires the trustees to prepare accounts for each financial year which give a true and fair view of all the state of affairs of the charity and of the profit and loss of the charity for that period. In preparing these accounts the trustees are required to:- Select suitable accounting policies and then apply them consistently. Make adjustments and estimates that are reasonable and prudent. Prepare the accounts on the going concern basis unless it is inappropriate to presume that the Charity will continue in operation. The trustees are responsible for keeping adequate accounting records which disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the Charity and enable them to ensure that the accounts comply with the Charities Acts. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the Charity and hence for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other Page **3** of **7** Hull Boxing Centre Charity Number : 1161418 irregularities. The trustees confirm that the account comply with the current statutory requirements and those of the Charity’s trust deed.
