**Objects:** THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE:- THE RELIEF OF SICKNESS DISEASE AND THE PRESERVATION OF HEALTH FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY THROUGH•FUNDING THE TRAINING OF MEDICAL AND CLINICAL STAFF IN RECOGNISED PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS IN COUNSELLING IN ORDER TO IMPROVE PSYCHIATRIC CARE FOR TRANSPLANT PATIENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES AND CARERS BEFORE, DURING AND AFTER TRANSPLANTATION; •TO PROVIDE FINANCIAL AND OTHER PRACTICAL SUPPORT FOR TRANSPLANT PATIENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES AND CARERS BEFORE DURING AND AFTER TRANSPLANTATION;•TO PROVIDE INFORMATION AND PRODUCE MATERIALS REGARDING TRANSPLANTATION TO INFORM AND ASSIST TRANSPLANT PATIENTS AND TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC

**Activities:** Transplant Association is currently funding staff at the Freeman Hospital, Newcastle by way of bespoke counselling courses.  This enables the staff to be better equipped to sign post and understand their patients and families needs.Transplant Association is in the process of building a new website aimed to help patients and their families.Promoting Donor Awareness.
