The objectives of the charity will be achieved by raising funds, to be invested in various projects including., a) the education and training of healthcare professionals, b) building healthcare and education related facilities, and c) the provision of life-saving equipment and medication. Additional details of objectives and activities (Optional information) i) Grant making policy- The charity undertakes a checklist of intemal reporting controls (i.e. due diligen) in regards to grant making, including obtaining details of the beneficiary, the disbursement of funds, and ensuring funds are used for their designated purpose. ii) Volunteer policy- Time and resources are provided to the charity by volunteers on an unpaid basis. Section D Achievements and performance Summary ofthe main achievements of the charity during the year The main achievements of the charity during the year under review are considered to be as follows.. i) Fundraising - Productive fundraising activities securing generous and regular donations, particulary from the graduates of Dow Medical College, Karachi, Pakistan, resident in the UK. The totsl funds raised in the year under review amounted to £1,540. TAR March 2012
Section E Financial review In the Trustees, view, the reserves should provide the charity with adequate financial stability and the means for it to meet its charitable objectives for the foreseeable future. Brief statement of the charity's policy on reserves The trustees propose to maintain the charity's reserves at a level which is at least equivalent to six months operational expenditure, and have done so having regards to its manner of operation of likely funding streams. The trustees review the amount of reserves that are required to ensure that they are adequate to fijlfil the charity's continuing obligations on a quarterly basis at their finance meeting. The diaspora resident in the UK, Europe, North America and the Middle East. ii) the general public. iii) Gift Aid donation tax credits. The charity has registered charity status with HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC), enabling it to claim tsx credits on donations received from individual UK resident taxpayers, under the Gift Aid scheme. These are an additional source of funding for the charity. The ninth Gift Aid tsx credit claim amounting to £385 for the year to 3010412025 has recently been submitted to HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC). No funds were granted in the year under review. No expenditure was incurred by the charity in the year under review, as time and resources were provided to the charity on an unpaid voluntary basis.
