||One international performance tour took place in 2020. Our volunteers<br>started organising more 2020 tours, but these had to be cancelled due to<br>the pandemic.<br>International tour to refugee centres in Belgium<br>Dates: 30th of December 2019 to 4th of January 2020<br>Performing one interactive piece of music-theatre; “Choose Your Story”.<br>Eight performances of this show in various ‘Croix Rouge’ and ‘Fedasil’<br>centres for asylum applicants.<br>Seven performers: three actors, one singer, one clarinet player, one harpist,<br>one flautist.<br>Each of the shows was  followed by an interactive music and drama<br>workshop, enabling children to express their creativity.<br>This year, all performers were current students or recent graduates of the<br>Guildhall School of Music and Drama, the Royal College of Music, and the<br>Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts.<br>Working with students from such high-reputation establishments ensures<br>that performances and workshops we offer are of a professional standard.<br>Our performances only use live music. This enables us to introduce<br>children to classical instruments to which they are unlikely ever to have<br>been exposed.<br>All our performances are entirely free of charge both for the venues hosting<br>us, and the attending public.<br>The charity is run entirely by volunteers.<br>We confirm the trustees have had regard to the Charity Commission’s<br>guidance on public benefit.|

Upon registering for projects, the participants(performers) of the Wind-Up Penguin Theatre Company become members of the CIO. Alongside any other members or volunteers, they fundraise to cover the costs of the international projects. Participants will personally cover the outstanding amount of their project, should it not have been possible to cover the entirety of the cost with fundraising. Participants are made aware of this before applying, and must agree to this clause prior to committing to a project.
