|||||||In 2021 schooling<br>was still disrupted<br>by COVID. Schools were only teaching those yean||
|||||||where there were critical examinations.<br>These children were required<br>to board. The||
|||||||remaining<br>school; classes were closed but some schools provided<br>various forms of||
|||||||distance<br>learning<br>materials.<br>Some ofthis wss via internet<br>and thus was problemafic<br>for||
|||||||those without access. The pmject endeavoured<br>to provide printed<br>materials<br>where||
|||||||possible||
|||||||Our primary sponsored<br>children were assigned to geographic<br>learning<br>bubbles,||
|||||||supported<br>by teachers. Fsod was distributed<br>via the learning<br>bubbles based on what||
|||||||would have been provided<br>in school. Itwas necessary to purchase a motorbike<br>in order||
|||||||that our local administrator<br>could travel to villages where road access was diflicult. We||
|||||||also funded an improved<br>mobile phone<br>vrith a mobile charger for when he was in places||
|||||||without electricity.<br>During this time his salary was reviewed because of additional||
|||||||responsibilities||
|||||||Truslee visits were not possible due to Covid mstricgans so there were monthly||
|||||||WhatsApp<br>meetings<br>between the local partners<br>and Amans trustees,<br>in order to keep<br>abreast ofthe changing<br>situation. There were also one on one meetings<br>between the||
|||||||Amana Chair and the local NGO administrator<br>A series ofwelfare meetings<br>with the||
|||||||sponsor children were also conducted<br>via WhatsApp||
|||||||Funding<br>was provided ta repair bicycles and provision ofadditianal<br>food in the Christmas||
