REPORT OF THE DIRECTORS

The Trustees present their report together with financial statements for the period ended 23 September 2022.

## **Principal activities**

Bright Eyes Global Action Project (BEGAP) is a secualr charity working in partnership with grass roots organisations and marginalised communities

## **Trustees Report**

Support continues to be given to the Totopara. This is especially relevant following the impact of Covid 19 and the amendement to FCRA 2010 which has restricted the ability to pass donations to the project. As previously reported two teachers were funded and successfully completed training to achieve a Permaculture Design Certificate. Following the successful completion of the training, the community commenced the redevelopment of sapre land on the school site which is now providing a variety of fresh produce both for the school and the surplus to raise additional income to support further redevelopment of the school. The school has produced plans to further expand the school and build two new classrooms. This work is expected to commence in 2023. Additional fund rasing is being being planned to help towards these additional costs. Fund raising has been negatively impacted in 2022 and is expected to continue into 2023.
