**Objects:** THE OBJECT OF THE CIO ARE THE RELIEF OF PERSONS LIVING IN LOW-INCOME COMMUNITIES IN CAMBODIA, INDIA AND MALAYSIA, AND SUCH OTHER PARTS OF THE WORLD, AS THE TRUSTEES SEE FIT, THROUGH:(1) THE RELIEF OF POVERTY, ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION AND RELIEF OF SICKNESS, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY CARRYING OUT RESEARCH AND ANALYSIS, THE PROVISION OF EDUCATION AND HEALTHCARE PROJECTS AND OFFERING ALL THE NECESSARY SUPPORT DESIGNED TO ENABLE INDIVIDUALS TO GENERATE A SUSTAINABLE INCOME AND BE SELF-SUFFICIENT.(2) TO DEVELOP THE CAPACITY AND SKILLS OF THE MEMBERS OF THE SOCIALLY AND ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED COMMUNITY IN SUCH A WAY THAT THEY ARE BETTER ABLE TO IDENTIFY, AND HELP MEET, THEIR NEEDS AND TO PARTICIPATE MORE FULLY IN SOCIETY.

**Activities:** BEGAP works with communities in underprivileged areas, supporting their endeavours to improve their education and health services. We raise funds which are channelled for activities run on the ground by the communities themselves, and provide further consultation on those activities. We also train individuals who are heavily involved in the activities that BEGAP supports.
