- Northampton Street Pastors has a licence agreement with Ascension Trust and operates under their policies and procedures. 

- Representatives of Northampton Street Pastors regularly attend meetings with Police and Local Authorities.

- All Street Pastor volunteers need to complete an application form and to provide two references. They are then recommended for training following an interview by existing Street Pastor Team Leaders. 

- DBS checks are carried out on all Street Pastors 3 yearly.

To relieve sickness and financial hardship and promote and preserve good health by provision of funds, goods or services of any kind including the provision of counselling and support. 

To enhance education in accordance with Christian principles

## **Street Pastors**

## Section D                      Achievements and performance 

**Results for 2022 Summary of the main achievements of the Partner and Community Links charity during the year** Street Pastors enjoy very good links and work closely with partner organisations - these include the Northamptonshire Police, Northampton Town Centre Task Group, Pub Watch, Single homelessness and the Guardians. Street Pastors are well regarded and very much appreciated by these partners and particularly in the NTE (Night Time Economy). The trust has successfully completed the training of two new Street Pastor recruits and patrols continue to be fully operational. 

**Our Volunteers** All patrols are carried out on a voluntary basis, there are 24 active Street Pastors. Street Pastors have collectively patrolled on the street in the night time economy for 904 hours. 

**Interventions** Street Pastors continue to have interventions with everyone in the night time economy along with clubbers. Street Pastors dealt with 179 vulnerable females and 85 vulnerable males.

They helped to calm several situations that may have escalated into fights, removing 2699 bottles and swept up 128 lots of glass, thus protecting many vulnerable folks. 

## **Trustees** 

At the AGM the Chairperson changed from  Adam Eakin to Paul Worth Worth. Our treasurer is also a trustee 

## **Recruitment** 

We have recruited and trained two new Street Pastors and are currently recruiting for more volunteers. Funding has been secured.  Promoting the work of Street Pastors within groups around Northampton. 

## **Staffing** 

Teresa Brown continued as Administrator, her hours were increased to cover the loss of the coordinator. She is supported by Sarah Williams one of the trustees. 

## **Students** 

Relations continue with the University and in December 2022 a team of Street Pastors was invited to patrol on a special Wednesday night student event. This was appreciated by students and staff alike.
