How the VMMF meets its aims.
The VMMF sends funds to meet an agreed budget, which supports the work of two Indian Pastors who are based in Vinukonda, Andhra Pradesh.
Their work has included, leading a Vinukonda Church and overseeing the work of 8 local Pastor/Evangelists, who are based in surrounding villages.
The Coronavirus Pandemic has impacted the work they have been able to do. On 31 March 2020 pictures were received of a Pastor queuing outside a Supermarket. All present were wearing masks. Specific donations have been received and forwarded for coronavirus relief. This money has been spent on rice and groceries for the day labourers who lost their livelihoods. Some were Christians and some non-Christians.
Restrictions on travelling meant that they could not reach some of the villages where their churches are located.
The Bible Training Institute, which gives monthly training sessions to the Pastor/Evangelists and other interested persons, has had to close for some months, but has operated where possible.
During Lockdown Church Services were held online. The village churches have had fewer restrictions and have met when government rules have permitted. Online Services have reached a wider audience.
The After School Classes have also been affected by the restrictions.
The Medical/Social work. The provision of medicines for individuals has continued where possible.
